Acceptable capping?
Forums › General Discussion › Acceptable capping?-
How do you decide who to cap and when? I'm going to have to start capping some soon because I need to keep growing my mob and getting better weapons for them. The first ones will be easy because it will be revenge on people who capped me without so much as an explanation or apology when I asked about it, but after that, is there a way to cap that's considered ethical (or at least acceptable) by the community as a whole?

Umm.... There's no explanation or apology needed for capping. Usually if I cap someone, and they message me about it, I'll cap another one. Then if they message me again, I'll cap another one. And so on and so forth until the messages stop. Get the damn sand outta your va jay jay and go cap some shit. The game is Turf WARS after all.How do you decide who to cap and when? !!Tip!! Spend your don points on turf limit and TRY to Stay under limit cus it is really boring being unable to move...
Also i got a question.. Is it fair to cap someone who has 4k less mob but only capping loot (he maybe 400 turfs over his limit)
-
Only inactives besides loot? Is there an easy way to tell who is inactive? I taxed some turfs really heavily because I thought the player was inactive, but it turned out he/she wasn't.
I've seen some people say getting one or two turfs capped is not reason for a vendetta, so is it accepted that capping one or two turfs from someone, active or not, is generally ethical (even though it will obviously upset the person whose turf was capped)?

Cap whatever you want, whenever you want. Just be prepared for any repercussions that might come your way. Only YOU know what's acceptable by YOUR standards. It's TurfWARS. Find your own style and play it. To each his own👣

Dude cap whoever you want. Just consider that there's consequences and be prepared for them. There's no "rules" for capping. Just guidelines of a sort. Do a bit of research if you're doubtful. If its on the map it's acceptable . U don't need a good reason to cap someone except for the fact your playing a war game. Take one from many and keep it moving. If they want to complain cause your capping them without a reason, cap em some more. They still want to cry take some more turf and recommend baking.

I like to keep mobile, so I stay under my limit (I'm currently like 14 under or something) and don't cap unless it's a loot turf. If I see a turf above 86, ad the owner has less mob than I, I will take it. Other than that, I don't cap much.
-
I prefer not to cap because I like being under but every now and again I do. I try to stick to the 2-3 per week per player. A lot less whining that way. The smaller the mob is the more they will bitch too. Normally if they are 10k and up they won't say anything except for "thanks I s over limit"...

Interesting thread. I'm sort of glad I asked but now I know how ruthless some people can be. :) I had only asked because I've seen some discussions regarding it, but there was never a consensus. My main reason for asking is because if you start capping, then people are going to run to bigger players for help against you, and if the bigger players are told you're just a big jerk who's picking on people, then they might come after you when really you were just trying to expand a little bit.
Long story short, I don't want to get wiped out by someone with 20,000 mob members because I capped a few turfs.

Most larger players will do research before they get involved, if they decide to get involved. Some smaller players do themselves more harm than good when whining to larger players for losing a couple turf. Always keep in mind that some people are allied. Btw, capping players out of an area that don't deserve it or didn't instigate a removal is probably the fastest way to get a larger mobbed player after you, IMO

Cap as much as you like as often as you like. Just don't bitch about it when you get your ass handed to you.
As for not being mobile, you all just keep believing that little white lie.

I know I'm free to cap as much as I like as often as I like. It's the getting-my-ass-handed-to-me part that caused me to ask the question in the first place though. :) Obviously, if I go around trying to cap everyone in sight, I'm going to be run out of the game. I would never do that anyway. Just trying to find the line I can get to but not cross that will keep big players from wiping me out.Cap as much as you like as often as you like. If most of them really do research, I should be fine.

One thing to watch out for is the other persons mob growing past yours after you capped them.
I just had a person do that to me so I punched codes like a mad man and took more of his turf than he took of mine as interest.
But all in all everything is fair game like the other people are saying and Again be prepared for the rebound.

You should be saying don't cap them completely out of a area leave a couple.

You have to be prepared to have consequences when you cap. I used to attack a player every day because I was making good money off of him. Then I capped a turf and he got a bigger friend in the area to take about 15 turf off my hands. After that which was like 4 months ago ive only attack him about 10 times.

Is it bad to cap a bunched amount of turfs middle turf and then tax the ones around it??
-
Going over turf limit takes a lot away from the game. Nothing worse then having to depend on capping and not being able to hop. Just my two cents.
-
War game.
Cap.
Any more silly questions?
