Anyone heard about the WestBoro Baptist church?

Texas A&M students did the right thing when they erected a "human wall" keepin the Westboro Babtist Church from protesting at a fellow Aggie's funeral. It turns out, the protesters never showed up. Gig'em Aggies!

Yes saying god hates soldiers.. My brother was in a biker group that would stand with flags between the funeral procession and the protesters so the family didn't have to see any of that.Didn't they protest the funeral service for a fallen serviceman? Army I think he was. Twisted bunch of people.

Cockroach, youve said it perfectly, a wonder what goes through these peoples mindsAnother thing that bothers me is that they say god hates gays according to the bible thats not true it says that god loved everyone and that you should be like god. These people are not acting like god they are hating gays and such. This sickens me. They also said god Hates soldiers this is also false. Idk where they came up with this crap and idk how they think this is good but if you go to anyone in my church they will say this is wrong. What they are doing is a man made idea

If God hate soldiers, why would he help King David win all those battles? Or the Israelite army overcome every enemy?
In fact, being a soldier and killing for your government is the only way that God does not require you to ask forgiveness for doing it. Only as a soldier. -
Their website is godhatesfags.com in case anyone wants to donate. lol
Hey, maybe we have a few klan guys here, right?
I think their schtick is to try to induce others with their hateful funeral protests to get physical with the church members. That way the church or individual member can sue and get $$$.
Here in the greater Seattle area, they were planning to show up at the funeral of two little boys that had been murdered by their father in a murder suicide. (Josh Powell case).
One of the motorcycle clubs, maybe the Hell's Angels, decided to attend to ensure the protesters were pushed far far away from the funeral, lol. The local cops freaked at this of course so provided LOT's of local cops to do that instead. 💢👊💢Bam!
They were a non issue that day and the media totally ignored them. The focus remained on laying those sweet little boys to rest.

They are nut jobs. There is no logic to pick flaws in. -

Watch this documentary about them it's a good watch it almost doesn't seem real in what they do, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogJSRs_OE0I&feature=youtube_gdata_player

In the bible it says God loves all. They contradict themselves by saying "god hates fags" and "god hates soldiers"

God does not hate people, he hates their sin! The whole reason Jesus came was to save us from our sin! God loved the world so much he sent his only son to save us.
-
They tried to do a protest at my fallen brothers funeral in Mississippi... Try and google the article on how it turned out, now that's what America's all about right there.
-
Also, I had a female marine in my platoon get out of the military and then join the church... Lil cunt didn't understand why we shunned her and cried sexism and bigotry to our command.

After looking through I found the EastBoro Baptist Church. I don't know if it's real or fake, or just tolling, but they are much funnier.

It's sad that people like this are allowed to spread their views. I'm baptist but I would never do anything like that. Love the person, not the sin. Not up to us to judge people

I watched a video on them in class. It was about a girl who was disowned by her parents at 16 for not following their religion. Whats sad is that she had 2 younger siblings that her parents turned agaisnt her. This girl was told by her 3 year old brother that she was going to burn in hell.

Yes, but they did recently come to Olympia to protest at one of our highschools that opened a "gender neutral" bathroom, then to the Capitol building, and set up down the road from my house for the rest of the weekend. I think I like Kevin Smith's approach of organizing counter protests. With signs like "God hates homework" and "dick tastes yummy"Their website is godhatesfags.com in case anyone wants to donate. lol

Wait god creates man, god creates sin, man inevitably sins, god sends son to die for man sinning! How is this logic even believed anymore? How can god save us from something he's ultimately responsible for? I hope we as a society step out of The dark ages soon. World would be so much better off

This just sickens me. To think that they hate soldiers and who knows what else. How the first European-descent Americans rebelled against Great Britain when America was I'm such infancy and was poorly armed. How George Washington had to train his army with a Prussian (nothing against prussians, sounds like it though) since his army was not experienced really at all. How they sacrificed everything they had for their country. Gave up their already hard life for a much worse one. Cold weather without shoes, blankets, hot food. Enemies with much experience all around them. Fighting off an army that was like America today, a superpower of the world that crushed everything it faced (mostly everything). With no assistance aside from the French in the last two battles.
War of 1812 when the British were so much stronger. When the British laughed at our military since it was barely holding. How they could have destroyed us but it wasn't economical to continue the fight.

The Civil War. Brother against brother. Father against son. Son against father. Relative against relative. American against fellow blood American. A war that devastated America physically, mentally and emotionally. Around 620,000 Americans over preserving the union and America. The first modern war. So much innovation while still using old world and long gone generation's warfare tactics. Oh the horrors it brought forth. How he blood soaked the earth. How victory was won with the blood of their brother's death. How Americans turned on themselves for the prize of preserving a nation. The struggles they went through bring tears to me to think of.
World War 1. America helping our allies and fighting a war we had little to do with. I believe 100,000 lives were lost there for America. Can't recall much since I never looled into that war much. But it was a war that really changed warfare forever.
-
World War 2. A war that carrys emotions with its name. How 410,000 thousand Americans fought a war for four years in lands they never knew existed. How they fought to the death for sometimes feet at a time. How one moment they lived and the next they were dead. How their buddy was gone in a flash or in an explosion. How blood covered the lands of Europe, Africa, and the pacific/asia. Blood from so many cultures that never interacted before. How one had a fellow American and a German man's blood on him or a fellow American and a Japanese man's blood on him. A war that had the Earth shake everywhere it occurred a dozen times an hour with the explosion of a mortar, grenade or bomb. A war that reached from the north in Germany to the south in Africa with influences from the nazi all the way in antarctica. How it reached west in Asia and east in russia. A war that claimed anything from 50 million to 75 million lives in six years and changed the world forever.
-
The Korean War. The Forgotten War. One of the bloodiest wars that lasted three years and claimed 60,000 Americans, who knows how many Koreans and Chinese, and was ignored largely by a populations recovering from the Second World War. How even World War 2 veterans were shocked at the intenstity of the fighting. How the enemy was willing to sacrifice as many men as needed to win. How America was at a time just a beach away from being pushed off the Korean peninsula. And how it ended with a treaty after years of fierce negotiations.
Vietnam War. A war that lasted maybe eight years and had Americans fighting in a hot, damp, and jungle filled landscape. Where the enemy blended into the innocent and anyone could be your next attacker. Where enemies hid traps for you and hid in the jungle and in the ground right next to you or below you. Where one wrong step could mean you or your buddies lives. Where the enemy was willing to attack at whatever cost.

I missed a few wars like the Spanish-American war and the modern ones but I just don't know enough about them to say accurately what it was like. I missed much but this gives you an idea what soldiers in America's history went through for their country and the fact that these people at that church have the will to say things about them makes me furious. Live a day of a soldier's live and they will think differently.
Plus, this is just the soldiers. Other things I might write similar length stuff like this. At this rate, I could write a book 😹
