Ok, let's play a game

Ok everyone, first of all a big thanks to Nick and Beauty for the time and effort they have to put in because a bunch of refugees from another game they already broke have decided to try and break this one.
Now to address what struck me as funny... A certain player, whom I will not address by name to take a little of the attention away that he so desperately seeks because of issues, believes that because someone has made a program to cheat their way INTO games that the amount of accounts is irrelevant on his/her single iPod and because of a loophole in Apple policy he can then use all of those accounts by investing only the single time. The funny part is still coming.... Then he brings like-minded individuals here from a game they already broke by cheating the system in so many ways the dev is underwater and they decide they are going to make the attempt to hi-Jack this game as well.
-
In the process they find or create ways to eliminate the work (for themselves, again by trying to cheat the system) that the regular Joes have to do like code punching and actually traveling to places, and then get upset when they get called out by a group of players that believe the same work should have to be done by all if you want to succeed in the "world" and whine and cry in the media/forums that they are being singled out unfairly and harshly. Those two groups then battle, while some battles are won by the hacks/spoofers/cheats the war is ultimately won by the people trying to do their fair share. In the end-game we are ALL here at Nick's will, not because we deserve a dang thing. And Bella I'll apologize at this point cuz I am nowhere near a perfect puncuational writer, sorry.
-
So the game is this.... Actually more of a question and statement on our society's direction. Why should players believe they are themselves owed the rewards of many while faking their way thru the work of one and using the fake rewards to take from the people trying to play by the rules/laws of the land and then expect that same treatment for their friends as well? I thank you all for the patience for reading thru this and giving me my forum while all the time going "who the heck is this guy, never heard of him", I'm just one of the players trying to play the game on one account,p make some friends, have some fun and take a break from the real world in the sanctuary Nick has made for us. Peace out!
-
And to direct a comment to a single person... P S I, if you believe something is owed to Mel T how about you send her what she is owed yourself out of the cash you owe Nick for exploiting an Apple policy (not Nick's policy) to fund your numerous accounts by only paying once. Sounds like a fair trade to me.

Well said.

Nicely done Viper. Nicely done 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
-
Well done.....but if the president thinks its ok for the entire country to benefit from the blood sweat and tears of the few, can you blame these hacks that grew up in a "everyone owes me something" society for acting this way? : )
-
Viper for President!

Good question Viper. However, you will never change the social logical factor that some people just believe the world owes them. It use to really bug the shit out of me. Now I just mostly ignore them.
I try to associate with people who have the same core values in life that I have.
Hardworking people stick together.
People who like 💃 party together.
All the cheaters and assholes in life can stick together in their own large cesspool of self f'en glory. -
The entitlement mentality has to go! The only thing we're entitled to is Life, Liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness. That happiness comes from the fruits of our own labors. Hacks simply echo the mentality of today's age.....the rules don't apply to me and I'll get ahead no matter what. Even if it I have to cheat.
-
Well said Viper!

What more can I add? You guys cleared everything up.. 👍..
-
Lol beat me to it Jimmy....I blame liberal policies that have taught Americans to believe they are owed something without earning it....Perhaps it was liberals' main goal all along, through these policies, to destroy TW, who knows?

I agree with the premise of this post but I think the wheels are coming off in the replies. You can't equate one dudes exploit of a loophole into a broad attack on America. I think of a jigsaw puzzle and this being a small piece.
"Entightlement" isn't a bad word - there wouldn't be a country if the Revolutionary generation didn't feel entitled to liberty and self-determination. I wouldn't begrudge the black veterans who returned from WW2 in the South and felt entitled to vote after serving their country so they sparked the Civil Rights movement. Also, there are examples of entitlement throughout the various classes of people in America whether it's the "legacy" student who goes to an Ivy League school or inherits $10 mil without working a day in their life or the single mother trying to provide health care for 2 children. (continued) -
My point is that feelings of entitlement can be positive as well as negative. Entitlement isn't the realm of one class of people in our society and I think it's disingenuous to deny that most of us don't have the feeling at times in our day-to-day.
-
This thread reminds me of the debate in old school(movie). Will Farrell throws down the perfect point and the "left" is left scratching their head trying to think of what to say.lol
well said Viper! -
Well written Viper.
Whitey also brings a good exposition to the table as well; and I also agree with the premise of both posts so...My name is Humboldtmoog and I support this message.

I liked the post up until it became about how much liberals want to destroy turfwars with social services. I thought we were talking about psi being a dick. Please dont assume that because psi is a dick and a liberal that all liberals are dicks.
-
Whitey, I think to an extent I agree with you. We all probably feel entitlement at one point or another. But if that feeling of entitlement keeps you from keeping your nose to grindstone and making a way for yourself, then that feeling of entitlement is negative. Example, I feel that I am entitled to good healthcare..... so I got a job and I bought a healthcare plan. I don't expect someone to pay for my plan premiums. I'm entitled to transportation to and from work so I saved money and bought a car. I didn't expect tax payers to help me do that.
-
I do not, however, think that all liberals are dicks or that they conspired to destroy Turf Wars. Lol.
-
I apologize Viper. I got sucked into the political debate again and detracted from from your beautifully prepared thread. Please forgive me.
-
Yeah, I have a hard time linking 733t hackrz kiddies to an entitlement mentality in general. Unless of course they feel entitled to get off when they're busted. 😄
And I think when conservatives say "entitlement mentality", they are referring to a feeling of being entitled to things they didn't actually earn or deserve, or weren't ordained to. This definition would not apply to actual rights as defined in the constitution or the declaration of independence. We are actually entitled to that.
When someone feels they are entitled to my property because they don't want to earn their own.... That's what we are talking about.
-
I'm not trying to make a argument as a "liberal" either. I just find it shitty when folks talk about "cheats" and "entitlements" and constantly point fingers down the ladder at granma living on soc security/Medicare or some family that would be homeless without subsidized housing while ignoring the fuckers who produce bullshit earnings reports that destroy confidence in the free market or take full advantage of American infrastructure and market protections while using overseas tax shelters to avoid paying taxes for it.
Who is the bigger "cheat"? Who has a bigger sense of "entitlement"? Granma or the CEO's with their cadre or lawyers? Pass your own judgement but don't pretend there is only one direction to point a finger.
