Twat. Bollocks. Purple headed warrior. Fart knocking wank sniff. Where does it state in the Christian beliefs that these works go against god?

It says this nowhere. Swearing is soley decided on by culture. If culture says fuck is swearing, fuck is a swear. Just like 500 years from now there will be new swears just as there were "new" swears 50 years ago, ect.Twat. Bollocks. Purple headed warrior. Fart knocking wank sniff. If you are a Christian then you will understand what I'm talking about in the following words. This applies to everyone. It's all about your heart when you are speaking. There are two important things that make swearing bad. First, what you are intending on saying from the heart. If you are intending on breaking relationship by saying those words, such as jack butt. This word is in several places in the bible. Because they weren't intending on being volgar when speaking. So if you were to refer to a donkey like the bible does and say jack butt, if your heart is intending on just referring to a donkey then that is fine. Now this only applies to words that you see in the bible, that our society has made volgar. The F word, was made up just to be crast. You could just say sex or fornicate.

Second, you don't want to ever say words that would temp others to start cussing, if they do not understand the concept in you saying a word that you would see in the bible. If you are around Someone who had a bad cussing problem, then you don't want to say any words that would tempt them to start thinking that cursing is okay.

But cursing is not wrong by any stretch of the imagination. If someone gets offended by a word I'm sorry to tell you but they are pretty damn shallow. I personally don't think any word is bad enough to not use. And I'm not religious so that aspect really doesn't affect me. It's not a cussing "problem" it's just how they talk.Second, you don't want to ever say words that would temp others to start cussing, if they do not understand the concept in you saying a word that you would see in the bible. What about the racial epithet "n" word? What about context - would you use the word "Cunt" in a public restaurant? What about around kids? Would you use "fuck" around your grandmother? What about at work?Coburn🔫🔴🌆 wrote:

I personally don't think any word is bad enough to not use.Society deems some words "low" and crass, and in polite or professional company, I don't know how you can feel comfortable using any word.

@khal
What I meant was the words in general. Of course there are situations where it might not be appropriate. But what I meant that there is no word that if I hear that I'm like 😱! -
If I had a large amount of money I should certainly found a hospital for those whose grip upon the world is so tenuous that they can be severely offended by words and phrases and yet remain all unoffended by the injustice, violence and oppression that howls daily about our ears.

I guess it just depends on how you were raised but in my perspective, Hell is NOT a swear word. It is just like the word "Chicago". Saying "go to hell" isn't much different than saying "go to Chicago". If Chicago was a horrible place, people would start deeming it as a swear word.Damn. Hell. All in the bible....

Words are just that, words. We are the one that correlate them negatively to said meanings. In effect, it is only the people who are offended by these words that make them offensive. Personally I view these words just as that, words. Words are harmless and if you get offended by them, you are the problem. Getting offended by ones vocabulary is foolish, to expect everyone to have the same definition of a word, foolish. Stop being offended and the words lose their negative meanings.

Not to insult any of you, but all of your responses are kind of shallow. You are all justifying your desire to say these inappropriate words. How is that good? I could justify and explain myself when I cuss, but the truth is. No matter what it's not ok if you are swearing from a bad heart. Like I said, it's all about your heart. You have to understand the bible and gods word to get what I'm talking about in my previous posts.

And you have to follow the mainstream christian belief, which i hate to break it to you, and mean no offense when i say it, a lot of people do not. You can interpret the bible in many ways. This does not mean i can continually say you're shallow and wrong, just as you cannot expect us to listen to you if you do the same. Now before this turns into a bible study thread let's leave it as it is and call it a day, because defending your point like you are makes it hard to keep the topic as originally intended.Not to insult any of you, but all of your responses are kind of shallow. Ok, I'm just trying to answer the guys question. You can take the bible however you want to. But it won't necessarily be right just because you take it a certain way. Besides. I didn't want this to turn this into an argument. I simply state what the bible says. And if you think that's wrong, then sorry, but that makes you kind of ignorant. -
