I have never seen a house where it needed electricity to get water. I worked for an energy provider last summer and I know all about this stuff. And to your comment about poor people earlier, that was unneeded. I don't know the statistics on how many people get water through electric or non-electrical sources but likely the first.UnknownAssassin wrote:
Well I'm guessing that most people in the country (not meaning the whole US) need electricity to get water and there is alot of people that live in the country in Ohio@ woodybear47, it really depends. Water can run when a faucet is on even without electricity or it can not. It depends on how the water is delivered to the house.

Of the two listed possible statistics, the first statistic option a.k.a. People getting water through electric sources.UnknownAssassin wrote:

Take a step back there kiddo. I never said I was poor, but knew people who were. Not everyone is so blessed as you an I. I was simply making a point that people go without AC (and power) and are in hotter places and do just fine. I'm sure if your cushioned lifestyle is put on hold for a little while, you'll be fine.ʟɛx тooтʜɛʀ™ wrote:
It's pretty sad that your so poor you can't even run a plug in fan but you can still aford a house. There is still half a million people in Ohio without power and your talking about a few people that can't aford a plug in fan.woodybear47 wrote:
No but you can plug a fan in or have a working refrigerator or have a shower to keep coolBut if you're too poor to run fans and take constant showers? Cause I know plenty of people who are and they're just fine my friend.

We have no power in WV either. They're shutting our water off today because the sanitation department doesn't have the power to clean our water.

ʟɛx тooтʜɛʀ™ you are saying I have a cushioned life when you come on here complaining that your AC isn't working, really! You live in Arizona, it's always hot there you should be use to it! There are half a million people in Ohio without power and it hasn't been this hot in Ohio for 13 years and some people have trees that have crashed into their house and their property is destroyed! You should really think before you speak because there are alot of people in Ohio that have it alot more rough then you!

It has to do with whether your water comes from a well or a city system. Most well houses in the US use electric pumps to get the water to the home, though I'm sure if you look at the actual numbers, more single family residences are on the water grid from a PUD, than on wells.

He was just saying that you will get over it. That some people do have it worse, for much longer than ten days. And those people getting "used to it" is BS, they put up with it because they have too. And nobody said anything about destroyed property. You brought that up yourself to make him look bad.ʟɛx тooтʜɛʀ™ you are saying I have a cushioned life when you come on here complaining that your AC isn't working, really! And yet you try and make him look bad but you throw idiotic comments like this. You even put half a million people without power for just over a week as being in a worse position than someone who cant afford unneeded luxuries at all. -
I might even level your turf for you, you seem like a whiny kid. Might have interesting responses. You live a shielded life it seems. And the game of life will break you of you continue thinking unneeded things are needed.
Random, scattered rant over ✌ -

👆Everything MaddHatter said.
Read my posts again. I never complained and/or said my AC was out and I never said I live in AZ. I did once but not currently this the use of the word DIDN'T (past tense).
All I said was that you would be ok and that others do it everyday. -

I'm just gonna address a bunch of different things here. I know there are people that have it worse, but I'm not talking about them if you see the title it says Ohio. And people do "get use to it" because that is what the human body does, it adapts to the climate that's why you see things like people from Florida wearing jackets in Ohio when it's like 50 something degrees and everyone else is wearing shorts and stuff. I saw the property damage cause I drove around different towns and checked out the damage. And I don't think that not having power I'd the worst possible position to be in, I am just talking about what happened in Ohio cause it was pretty bad for Ohio. I told Resistance ONE time that i thought it was immature for him to attack me because he didn't agree with what I was saying. Lex toother I apologize I must have misread your comment about living in Arizona and stuff. I made this post on the forum to hear what the storm/aftermath was like for other people in Ohio

There was a big storm in Ohio? I guess I lucked out. We do need rain for fireworks on the 4th.So a storm hit Ohio leaving 2/3 of Ohio out of power, some people won't be getting their power back for a week and the temp. is almost reaching 100 degrees! I finally got my power back and I wanted to know how the rest of you guys in Ohio are doing and if you could share some stories from the storm/aftermath.

@woodybear- I get that you made a thread to discuss it, and that's ok but everything you said afterwards was downhill. That's what I didn't get, how you responded. But whatevah man. Good luck getting your thread back on track haha
