It isn't cruel to eat animals, UNLESS it is such and such animal. Like, eating chicken is okay, but eating puppies isn't.There was a documentary on this. Most cultures where this happens believe that anything with a spine pointing to the sky is edible.

Get out and experience different cultures, and I promise that you will become a better person because of it.

as a respected culinary professional, you should know, in almost all fine dining kitchens I have worked in, we shamelessly mock vegetarians. ignoramouses.

I keep room for all God's creatures. Right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.
Vegetarians should also keep in mind, my food poops on your food.

I do not disagree with either one of you here but I do think their is a fine line with being politically correct. In one way it has crippled our society. By this I mean that a man can no longer be a man. Now you have to think over every single statement you make to make sure you will not offended or hurt someone's feelings. But also if you are lacking too much then you are simply ignorant.Admiral May wrote:

I have two guinea pig in my back garden, doesnt mean if i went abroad and was offered a little guinea pig for dinner i wouldnt eat it. I also have 4 dogs, if i went abroad and was offered dog then i would try it. I like to try different things, horse bufalo, crocodile, guinea pigs, dogs whatever, but the one animal i can never bring my self to harm is fish, i will eat it but i cannot kill it, i love fishing and i return everything i catch. In my eyes they are one of the most beautifull creatures in the world.

Something stupid like 2% of the sunlight that falls on a plant is converted into energy (food) that say a cow eats. Of that 2%, 1% is converted by that cow to energy (food) that is consumed by us.
My point, eating meat is energy inefficient in the global cycle of things. Us humans need to realise how little and insignificant we are and stop straining our planet's resources for a something we don't need so much of.

(I'm probably wrong about that) -

It's ten percent. Each animal gets 10% of the amount of energy the plant or animal it ate had. We meet the stuff in meat to be healthy, and how is it energy insufficient and wasting our planet's resources? If God wanted us to be veggie, he wouldn't have made animals out of meat.
My wife is veggie, I'm not. We are both healthy. Everything in moderation, including moderation. If animals are so inefficient than it is a good thing I'm stuffing my freezer with venison. Saving the planet, one deer at a time. 🍔🔫 -

Is there a reason you don't eat fruit or veg?A double standard that keeps popping up.
When someone say's I'm a vegetarian, they get accepted and no one questions it.
When ever people find out I don't eat fruit or veg they try to give me the whole lecture about eating.Question is why do people accept vegetarians yet not carnivores?
Or are you just looking forward to a bout of bowel cancer?

I am a vegetarian by birth. I can say that my diet is not unhealthy a all. I get my fair share of vitamins and protiens too.
Any diet can be unhealty if you don't eat right in well balanced proportions.

lol I have no idea where you get your information from but I've been a vegetarian for 8 years and it's never once been "accepted without question." I still catch shit from every single relative, like they've been holding on to a little tid bit since Christmas just to spew it at me the moment they see me.
