What do you guys think of zoos? I mean i like going to see the animals but i think it is also animal cruelty as they are taking the animals away from their natural habitat to be put in seclusion.

I thought so too, until I read this book called Life of Pi. It's really interesting, and gives you a totally new outlook on animals in captivity (but obviously it depends on how well they are treated). Each animal gets its own territory that it doesn't have to fight for or hurt itself defending, and they are provided with fresh water and enough food, as well as different forms of entertainment. Their habitat is their home, and just like our dogs or cats, they are taken care of but not imprisoned in one small space; they have enough free space for the specific animal to be content.

And I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure most animals are bred in captivity. I know some rescued animals that were rescued but then can't or won't survive in the wild are put in sanctuaries, and I think they could also be rescued as babies, so they're raised in captivity anyway. I know that if they're from the wild, people do all they can to get them back into they're natural habitat.
