I'm not sure. What advantages will it bring? I have os4 software so wallpapers and multitasking doesn't count.

you've been able to all along. I still have original iPhone and I've been multitasking fo awhile

Nope. All it does it change the access to the filesystem and install an app called cydia. Cydia is the only change you'll see.
