It's a social networking app...been around for some time but it's finally starting to catch on here in San Diego with more and more venues supporting the app.

The way it works is it uses GPS to bring up a list of locations near where your at...you then "check-in" to whatever place your visiting (store, bar, ballpark, wherever) and you get points.

The person who checks in the most at any location becomes the "Mayor."

Anyway, I am 3 check-ins away from taking over Mayor of The Tipsy Crow, which is where our TW meet-up is happening...and it just so happens that Tipsy Crow rewards the Mayor with 50% their ENTIRE bar tab! (no the drinks aren't on me! haha)

FourSquare is huge!! Tthere are countless deals worldwide for FourSquare users.

I recommend this for anyone that leaves their house; there's theaters, museums, sporting events, restaurants, clubs, bars & all sorts of other recreation & entertainment places. The app is free & I think is supported by all smart phone platforms.
