dang, this is the first thread ive read in its entirety in a long long time. im surprised how much attention it's gotten.
I agree with Get Some about cleaning up the forums a little. threads are growing in quantity while becoming increasingly repeatitive.
i think everyone should just use the damn mob milestone thread to post their own milestones. but theres nothing wrong with friends making a thread congratulating a player on a BIG milestone (i.e. 40k+)
Mob races are fine, but keep the threads to one per race.
We cant prevent the stray help threads from new players though and we've all been there, so i think we should tolerate that. at least theyre trying to get involved in the game.
i personally enjoy the callouts and other threads trying to get to know the rest of the tw community 👍. also war and alliance drama are fun reads.

Well I had two ideas about the mob races. One was to have a forum just for help to mob up and have races. The second was to have a race button or mob button like the v button so once you add the people to the race and it starts you can chat with each other in their and give updates. But why could I just use my wall as the update spot? Post the race in the forum for about a week once it starts use the wall of the person who is having the race for updates and chatter. Sound like a good idea?

Really we jus need an offtopic section of the forum to force all the trolls into. I really only care about game relative content and would love to see a seperation.

What I don't understand is why people don't just ignore what they don't want to read? I pick and chose what I want to read and ignore the rest.
The congratulatory threads are ok and it wouldn't hurt for some of the bigger mobsters to encourage some of these small guys. This congratulating every 5k after 10k was a suggestion by a veteran to unclutter the forums and because he got sick of reading them. It is not a rule carved in stone. Or some great offense that warrants the attention it gets.
Mob races are great ways to encourage mobbing up and getting to know other players. By all means consolidate all the race to 5k or 10k's into one thread but there is no reason to stop them.

The main problem with just ignoring the ones you don't want to read is that they take over.
There is so many shit and noobish threads that they actually push the decent ones away onto page 2 for example. -
It would also be helpful to have some kind of argument thread. That way we can weed out trolls.

I'm not against the concept of a mob race per se, I would just like to see a forum just for them. Either that or massive consolidation of current ones is needed. As Ryan said, they push down decent threads.
