Earlier today there was an ill-fated post regarding the upcoming national elections in the United States.

I had a long workday today and came across the post late, it was deleted soon after I finished reading it. I don't intend to name names, or point fingers at specific individuals, but I noticed several people referenced dribble they claimed to have read on the Internet.

I am an alum of The University of Minnestota, Mankato. As I understand things (I probably read it on the Internet). The website behind the link at the end of my post was created by a professor at the Univ. He/she was tired of reading papers that cited websites as though the websites were accurate.
According to the legend a few poor souls actually believed whales migrated up the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers to Mankato. These poor souls actually showed up in Mankato and made fools of themselves around town insisting on being taken to the prime whale watching sites along the river.
