Classic vs modern
Forums › General Discussion › Classic vs modern-
In the case of music, what is better, classic (as in 40-90's,) compared to now a days music. I personally say that a lot of older music is better. Like right now in listening to some bobby fuller, and he's freakin AWESOME, compared to a lot of today's crap.

Classic rock and 90's country!!

Classic. Gotta love 97.9 the Loop!

Depends. The tools being used now, such as special effects in music, seem to be misused and over-used. I personally prefer classical composers from the 20th and 19th century. Thankfully, there are still a few innovative artists in this modern age. The road to success is found in the vehicle of the past.

Depends on what genre you're asking about. I could give you my opinion on every one.

I've not really been a fan if party music (sexy and I know it) but it sure has taken off like crazy and it sells really well. It seems as if newer artists kandor to what will sell best as opposed to defining themselves lyrically. Not saying that is a bad thing (the BEP are selling a crap ton of records), just making an observation.

Personally, being a metal fan, I can appreciate all eras of metal. Though the bands from the mid 80's-early 90's tend to stand out. Bands like Metallica, megadeth, slayer, pantera, anthrax, testament, and death angel, to name only a few.

Usually older is better, but the Foo Fighters are awesome.👍

Gotta love the classics! 💜📼 But I might like them so much because my dad's old-man band always played the good stuff. 😊🎸🎤🎵

40s music is light years different to 90s music. You only lumped it all as classic bc your 14 years old. 82% of today's mainstream music is absolute shit IMO.

This new "rap" is horrible!! I rather listen to commercials and wait for the comedy station to come back from break... :( "I bees I'm the trap" that's wuts on the radio right now... HORRIBLE

Unless you're still a metalhead, classics are always better but that's one genre that hasn't gone to shit, that's for sure.YOU wrote:

White zombie/ rob zombie, shinedown, hinder, saliva also like the hair bands.

neither / both

also, lol at lumping the big band era with grunge

All art has gone downhill since the post-ww2 commercialization of everything in the West.
-
I'm a bit of both. I'm not a huge fan of most of the artists on the top 40, but I do like lady gaga and Adele. After that I like Bruce Springsteen, guns and roses, and daft punk. A strange mix, I know.

60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's rock is the best. No doubt!

90s and 00s rap and rnb
