A Quick Request
Forums › General Discussion › A Quick Request-
I would like to ask a favor of the people here in the GD. Recently, my mother ordered a group of flowers from a local florist. They'd talked and he'd mentioned how he was struggling to stay in business now after having run it for about 30 years. He did a beautiful job on the flowers he prepared. Thinking about it now, I can't help but imagine what small, local business owners must deal with if their business fails, especially if it has been running for a long time. My request to you is that the next time you have a chance, buy something from a local store if you have the money. You'll help people pay their bills and probably get something nice, even if it's only small.

My city is almost completely local, disregarding the chain stores of course!

Totally agree, the community is everything. Long live your community's and those who help.

No. If you have ever been to half of the surrounding areas in Michigan I'd say a good 80% is all imported.💀Ꮻвsιdιαη💀 wrote:

I have a tendency to buy from local businesses. I also look for American made products. Granted, they cost more.

Jaimie here, this is BIG! When you buy local, or from small, you always feel good about yourself and you will always get that little extra something. I cant remember what was placed in the player here's order, but Im sure the girls did. They always give something special you didnt order and get free.
And thats a starving artist! Lol all florists i use are local. Evn when its across country, il google the town, look up florists, and pick one. What a price ! I got a beutiful 2 dozen of pink roses for mothers day for $45, and a $3 delivery fee! Just try that on FTD! Lol -
Usually at local stores the people are nicer too I've been to many which are out of business now because of bigger stores.
Cheshire Movie was taken by blockbuster.
Nápoles Bakery was taken by Chefs bagels(still local but my dad owned the bakery and I worked there sometimes a lot of memories)
Marcuses Resturant(awesome place)
I miss CT soo bad😢
