Godfather Protection Program.............

So it is my understanding that the 10% influence rule is in place to protect new players from larger more experienced mobsters wiping out their turf when they first start playing. The end result I assume is to retain new players longer bringing more fun to the game.
So at what point do we take another look at this rule and reassess it's use. I bring this up because I now am witnessing the wiping out of all noobs in NYC by a very large and experienced player. All the while myself and any other large mob experienced players are helpless to defend without spending countless hours dropping influence.
I personally feel that after level 75 the 10% influence rule should not apply.
What would you guys say. Or what would you reccomend to rectify the current situation without a rule change.
Or is it whatever and the game is how it is. Can this strategy be considered a strategy or is it an underhanded way to play?Discuss.......

I think that is a great idea...

I couldn't agree with you more.. Strategy is one thing but to be protected by a loop hole that is intended to protect lower level players is crazy.. I hope this is addressed so at least we all can fight the fair one and use the strategies of the game the way it was intended..
-
\V/ we can talk off line about NYC, but in general I have always felt a mob size/inf. Ratio needs to be established.
-
Whos wiping the noobs out?
-
If you only have 1000 influence but 5000 mob that should count (just tossing a number out there) as a total of 6000 influence. That would allow a larger player to capture the so called bully who is lowering his/her influence in order to capture noobs.

I completely agree 👍👍👍👍

Absolutely agreed this is a good idea.
Perhaps to prevent wiping anyone out, there should be some safety area for everyone, even the big players. Maybe the last 15 turf can't be capped? Just daydreaming... You know. 😌

I personally feel the 10% rule is fair as is. It isn't all that often a higher player attacks noobs anyway. If you want to defend them use vendettas with smaller players to wipe the big player out

So far I've successfully dropped infl twice. Once down to 200 infl and anoher down to 2k Infl. It was the only way I could defend myself and my city. I'd hate to have to do it again. Belive me v. I know where your comming from. Some 🐭 prefer to hide in the shadows.I completely agree 👍👍👍👍

Adding smaller players to a V works to a point. But most small players are not mobile enough to keep pressing

It's obviously Thug who is basically using the 10% rule to remain impervious to mobs with any kind of an upkeep while unleashing his 7500 mob armed with toy pistols on any noob who manages to get passed lvl 25 with 1200+ influence. It's a strategy which I was gonna test as an example of the potential exploitable (which I don't mean as rule breaking but more of a "hideout" strategy) months ago (for those of you who kept asking why I had bought 4k grenades and flak jackets and didn't get an answer awhile back, there's your answer). So, yeah - somethings gotta give on the 10% rule at high level.

He's got something like 800 turf and 800 influence. He's doing a great job of clearing out the little guys with no real threat from anyone that can beat his huge mob. And don't think you can just go down to 7900 influence and beat the crud out of him. Then he has 790 turf and you can't touch him anymore.
Advice to the little guys: get out of his range! Tear down! Run for your little noob lives!! He can't chase you.. He's immobile. 🏃.............🗻

I know. I've always been torn on this subject. There are reasons to "hide" sometimes. Also the 10% rule does afford some good last resort strategies. I've of course never used this or benafitted from this even when I was a noob👿Belial wrote:

Here is another problem. If said bad guy is capping not just small new players but also medium size players they also can't defend themselves. In otherwords If this large mob mofo can cap someone with say 30,000 inf, and I can cap someone with 30,000 inf. Then if I don't cap that 30k player he will and it's safe from both me and the guy he capped it from. If I don't cap turf and protect it the low inf high level guy can spread to more noobs with no reprimand....... Quite the pickle🍆👈(not a pickle)

Answer is no, they can't. Burn rate of cash is too high. Unless you can diversify where you plant and/or have several billion in cash or liquidatable assets you're hosed. Especially if you're land-locked. Or are protected by someone with those sorts of resources. I figured that out quick. Crowded areas compound the problem by being more expensive to initially plant in and you'll often run negative income if you can't raise the influence to 84 right off the bat. So you have to hop out or drive out (assuming you can drive). And then hope whoever is after you doesn't really have a burr up their ass and follow you. It really alters your gameplay once you figure this out 😺. Even in a situation where you use a V burn rate becomes an issue. $$ must come from somewhere. -
V whining ? Gee get a life...
Maybe I should wipe EVERY NEW players for real...
