What to do in Madrid??
Forums › General Discussion › What to do in Madrid??-
I am spending seven weeks in Madrid and am going to the Escorial tomorrow. I'm not doing anything on Sunday and am wondering if anyone has suggestions. I'm thinking about going to retiro and just walking around. Or is the casa de campo nice? Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Retiro Park is beautiful. Take a boat out on the lake... The queue will be long but moves quickly and is quite cheap.Try doing that on Sunday. Also, a visit to the town of Chinchon withs its beautiful square is great and you can eat and drink in the underground bodegas.Try going to the Rastro market on Sunday mornings ( metro Tirsi de Molina) it is alive with people and the bar "Los Caracoles" of Amadeo is a must see. From there you could have a few cañas and listen to the street music as you circle towards the Plaza Mayor( see Moore's window display to see some of my artwork from 15 years ago) Then it's a walk through Sol down Gran Vía to the Retiro Park. Check out the James Joyce bar on calle Alcalá 59. It's on the way on you will see some of my art work there! Enjoy y ¡Saludos amigo!

Have you been to the Hyundai Fan Park Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu to watch the Spain matches? It is super fun as they have 3 giant screens to watch the game.
The plaza Mayor is amazing as is the palacio real. I think I will definitely go back there. The metro line I ride every day ends up at casa de campo and I heard that might be cool, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, the cable cars in the Casa del Campo is good... See also the temple de Debot. Pm me for info. Cheers

Plant turf and invite nearby mobsters. And do that holiday stuff too I guess, but mainly plant turf
