Just a question about Macs.

Over the summer i'm going to hit it buying and selling, i'm making it a goal to get a nice current gen mac refurbished from apple by the end of the summer.
Problem, i want to know which i should get. I'd buy a laptop or a home one, i want it to be able to run smoothly and play games and have osx lion capabilities so i can code some apps (PPC emu's suck, for the record.) Anyone experienced enough to help? -
Some of their newer ones work really well, but I don't know what they're called. I'll do some research for you.

You probably qualify for the education discount. Probably save you a couple hundred bucks. If not, lie.

If you are going to school, a MacBook is the only way to go, my MacBook pro never leaves my side. If you need to run windows only programs just buy a copy of windows and run boot camp.
If you are getting a pro, definitely wait for the new ones with retina display to come out.

Student discounts are 10% from apple.com, plus apple participates in upromise

Well, if you don't want to spend too much, the iMac ($1,199) won't do. But it does work very well, and it's a great computer. Some of their newer ones work really well, but I don't know what they're called. I'll do some research for you.

Honestly, I wouldn't get a mac. They're very slick and fancy, but it'll be a pain to link with the majority of the population owning windows. Just bear this in mind 😃

Well, i want to be an app developer, but for that i need to have a computer with a PPC processor. And PPC emulators suck for windows, it's beyond slow on fast computers, so i need a mac.Honestly, I wouldn't get a mac.
