Most of you probably have no idea who I am, some of you, maybe. I don't post many threads in the GD because I don't like contributing to the trash that's already on there, so this is probably my first thread in the last 3 months. I don't usually play on the map either, I just lurk around the forums and post in threads as I see fit. But in this particular case Im breaking most of my habits to do one specific thing...
A few days ago I was reading the posts on the forums and generally having a good time, when I tapped on the News button by accident. I saw that my two turf in DC had been capped, and I thought that it wasn't really a problem and that I expected it anyways. I have a 2 turfs relatively nearby that I could just hop over from and rebuild. So I put it off. Then, the next day, the turf that I was going to hop from got capped by a different person. I was slightly annoyed by this, but I didnt react to it because I had one 1 inf turf at the airport IAD that I could build from.

About 10 mins later I got capped out of Harrisonburg(that's about 80 mi from any turf I had and right in the middle of nowhere). I was pretty upset. In total, about half my total income came from harrisonburg, and I was stuck without a way to get there(I was driven there to tour JMU). So, Ive decided to hop back over there and re-establish some turf(and mob up to take revenge🙎), and to hop back to DC using the one little turf I have left at that airport.
Maybe this was a waste of your time and another 'trash' thread, but it was important to me. If you want I'll keep you guys posted on the progress of my hop.

Also, this may not seem like a big hop to the rest of you, but the farthest I've ever hopped before was about 2 miles, and this is about 40 times that amount.

If I was there, I'd cap your 1 inf. turf at the airport just because you said it was basically your only lifeline😼

Right now I'm tryin to hop like 300 miles to Mr. Doux's safe island I've been at it for like a month and only gone about 70 miles I'm doing the 86 inf. hops with upgrades for dead spots... Is there a faster way?

Loots.. Max your turf out.. Alot faster, but could be dangerous if someone caps it.. Just tear it down quick, as soon as you build the next..

There's about .01% chance of getting capped right now I'm going though the dead lands of Maine I've gotten 5 capos with just one turf lol I just feel like putting upgrades on all the turf goes slower

How many hops are you doing at a time? If you don't have the cash/income for hopping at 86, and you have the loot available you might consider hopping on loot only. It only gives you a 49inf (excluding bagmen) but you only pay the planting costs. Just remember to unequip before you tear down.
I did 700km hop in 49 days, the main thing was the cost.

I think I can do around 10 hops at once and I have enough to handle the cost I'm getting 2il an hour and have over a billion in the bank
