If you have to kill someone who is mentally ill to protect an innocent child, that is always justified. Pedophilia may be a mental illness, but the psychological effects it has on it's victims are awful. And protecting his child is not only a father's right, but his sole purpose from the moment that child is born. I can't even fathom the pure rage that any real father would feel, walking in on a man sexually assaulting his daughter.

There is no "help" to go for because nothing fixes it.
People don't "suffer" from pedophilia, except for the victims. 60% of them become abusers themselves, continuing the cycle. The expert, talking about the Penn State scandal, said that the average pedo has over 120 victims. The cycle needs to be broken, and sometimes peace, love, hugs & counseling don't cut it.
