we used to have many roundabouts or circles but they fell into disfavor as the volume and number of lanes increased across america.
They seem to be making a comeback for aesthetic reasons in low traffic areas...theres one in a nearby city of Addison that has a huge sculpture in the middle of it..thats the only one I have really seen built near me.
