All those shows are directly related through character crossovers and matching backstories, as well as being only the fictional premises. If you include characters crossing over into the real world and making it on the news, snl, ect, it becomes thousands of shows and reality itself.
So in a nutshell the concept is that existence could theoretically all be in a St. elsewhere character's mind if we assume it's a true event.

Well the fact that you speculated with me about this makes it a crossover in our lives. So now yes. Your pants are certainly included since you are aware of them, as am I.Is it possible that my pants only exist in the Tommyverse?
-
Haha... That list also forgot to include Family Guy. I'm sure that show alone connects hundreds more to the tommyverse.
-
Sooooo.. Does anyone actually get it, or am I being confusing?

Makes sense to me. Thanks for a great thread btw, I'm on a train and I'd be bored out of my mind without this

Anyone ever hear about the other crossover fictional universes?

The Wold Newton family is a literary concept derived from a form of crossover fiction developed by the science fiction writer Philip José Farmer. Farmer suggested in two "biographies" of fictional characters (Tarzan Alive and Doc Savage: His Apocalyptic Life), that the (real) meteorite which fell in Wold Newton, Yorkshire, England, on December 13, 1795, was radioactive and caused genetic mutations in the occupants of a passing coach. Many of their descendants were thus endowed with extremely high intelligence and strength, as well as an exceptional capacity and drive to perform good, or, as the case may be, evil deeds. The progeny of these travellers were purported to have been the real-life originals of fictionalised characters, both heroic and villainous, over the last few hundred years, such as Sherlock Holmes, Tarzan, Doc Savage, and Lord Peter Wimsey.
-
Other popular characters included by Farmer as members of the Wold Newton family are: Solomon Kane; Captain Blood; The Scarlet Pimpernel; Sherlock Holmes's nemesis Professor Moriarty; Phileas Fogg; The Time Traveller (main character of The Time Machine by H. G. Wells); Allan Quatermain; A.J. Raffles; Professor Challenger; Richard Hannay; Bulldog Drummond; the evil Fu Manchu and his adversary, Sir Denis Nayland Smith; G-8; The Shadow; Sam Spade; Doc Savage's cousin Patricia Savage, and one of his five assistants, Monk Mayfair; The Spider; Nero Wolfe; Mr. Moto; The Avenger; Philip Marlowe; James Bond; Lew Archer; Travis McGee; Monsieur Lecoq; and Arsène Lupin.
-
And just to put a cherry on top...
The Wold Cottage meteorite (also called the Wold Newton meteorite) fell at 3 p.m. on 13 December 1795 a few miles away from the hamlet of Wold Newton in Yorkshire, England. The meteorite fell two fields away from a large house, the Wold Cottage, owned by Edward Topham. Topham was a poet, playwright, landowner and well respected local.
The meteorite is an L6 ordinary chondrite weighing around 25 kg. The Wold Cottage meteorite was the first meteorite observed to fall in Britain and is the second largest ever recorded to land in the United Kingdom. It was used by scientists as proof that extraterrestrial matter existed, and was made of the same materials as terrestrial matter. -
James Sowerby, a naturalist, acquired it and gave fragments to interested people. Sowerby's fragments are now held by the Natural History Museum in London.
There is a brick monument in the field where the meteorite fell, commemorating the event. It was built by Edward Topham, the owner of the land, in 1799 to mark the exact spot where the meteorite fell. Here

The crossover concepts seriously tripped me out. Excellent reading Greenman thanks. I'll never look at some of those tv shows the same way again.
-
The funniest connection is Jay and Silent Bob. Degrassi has a story arch featuring them, so in turn the first universe I listed, is also directly related to the Kevin Smith new jersey setting of all his movies through that link.
And from the Kevin Smith crossover we can also include the fictional DC and Marvel comics franchises within this fictional universe. We can combine both companies do to Stan Lee appearing in "Mall Rats". You can also include a fictional Star Wars within this fictional universe due to Mark Hamil's role as "Cockknocker" is Jay and Silent Bob strike back! Then just go ahead and add, and add, and add....
See what you guys can connect! It never actually ends.
-
And this is all due to 1 single crossover from a shitty TV hospital show on bbc in the 70s and the fact that two of the characters just so happened to visit a little bar Called "Cheers" in one single episode. From there we get Fraser, and from there third rock from the sun, and then Roswell, and smallville.... And that's just off the top of my head, and some of those aren't on the list yet.

Good stuff!

Dead BartYou know how Fox has a weird way of counting Simpsons episodes? They refuse to count a couple of them, making the amount of episodes inconsistent. The reason for this is a lost episode from season 1.
Finding details about this missing episode is difficult, no one who was working on the show at the time likes to talk about it. From what has been pieced together, the lost episode was written entirely by Matt Groening. During production of the first season, Matt started to act strangely. He was very quiet, seemed nervous and morbid. Mentioning this to anyone who was present results in them getting very angry, and forbidding you to ever mention it to Matt. The episode’s production number was 7G44, the title was Dead Bart.
-
In addition to getting angry, asking anyone who was on the show about this will cause them to do everything they can to stop you from directly communicating with Matt Groening. At a fan event, I managed to follow him after he spoke to the crowd, and eventually had a chance to talk to him alone as he was leaving the building. He didn’t seem upset that I had followed him, probably expected a typical encounter with an obsessive fan. When I mentioned the lost episode though, all color drained from his face and he started trembling. When I asked him if he could tell me any details, he sounded like he was on the verge of tears. He grabbed a piece of paper, wrote something on it, and handed it to me. He begged me never to mention the episode again.
-
The piece of paper had a website address on it, I would rather not say what it was, for reasons you’ll see in a second. I entered the address into my browser, and I came to a site that was completely black, except for a line of yellow text, a download link. I clicked on it, and a file started downloading. Once the file was downloaded, my computer went crazy, it was the worst virus I had ever seen. System restore didn’t work, the entire computer had to be rebooted. Before doing this though, I copied the file onto a CD. I tried to open it on my now empty computer, and as I suspected, there was an episode of The Simpsons on it.
The episode started off like any other episode, but had very poor quality animation. If you’ve seen the original animation for Some Enchanted Evening, it was similar, but less stable.
-
The first act was fairly normal, but the way the characters acted was a little off. Homer seemed angrier, Marge seemed depressed, Lisa seemed anxious, Bart seemed to have genuine anger and hatred for his parents.
The episode was about the Simpsons going on a plane trip, near the end of the first act, the plane was taking off. Bart was fooling around, as you’d expect. However, as the plane was about 50 feet off the ground, Bart broke a window on the plane and was sucked out.
At the beginning of the series, Matt had an idea that the animated style of the Simpsons’ world represented life, and that death turned things more realistic. This was used in this episode. The picture of Bart’s corpse was barely recognizable, they took full advantage of it not having to move, and made an almost photo-realistic drawing of his dead body.
-
Act one ended with the shot of Bart’s corpse. When act two started, Homer, Marge, and Lisa were sitting at their table, crying. The crying went on and on, it got more pained, and sounded more realistic, better acting than you would think possible. The animation started to decay even more as they cried, and you could hear murmuring in the background. This crying went on for all of act two.
Act three opened with a title card saying one year had passed. Homer, Marge, and Lisa were skeletally thin, and still sitting at the table. There was no sign of Maggie or the pets.

Have you read "The Number of The Beast" by Robert a Heinlein.Anyone ever hear about the other crossover fictional universes?
He proposes that each time a story is written a universe is created. In the story they cross to different universes. Books after this carry the concept further but this is the 1st book I saw this as a proposal.
