Heart problems?

Okay here's the story. Sometimes when I'm just sitting down doing nothing, I get a really big rush of adrenalin, and my heart beats almost double the pace, almost like its "skipping". I can actually feel the heart throb in my chest. It usually lasts about 2-5 seconds. It doesn't hurt at all, and if I wasn't terrified I would say it actually felt good. Does anyone know what this is? I'm 14 years old and maybe about 10-20 pounds over weight. Im well built and get a good amount of exercise per week since I play baseball and hockey.

I'm not sure but I hope it doesn't last. I get these pain shocks randomly in my arm, neck or legs and it hurts really bad so I sorta know what your goin through

Sometimes I get random pains in my arms. Idk what it is

Heart palpitations maybe, which aren't necessarily a problem. Because you play sports it wouldn't be a bad idea to get it checked out.
-
Perhaps it's nothing, but you can't be too careful when it concerns your heart. I'd say visit a doc.

It may not be heart problems, if there is something wrong, it is probably adrenal gland problems.
-
Defibrillation - get it checked

It's worth seeing your GP and getting a physical. Mention this to your doc at the visit.👍Okay here's the story. Sounds like tachycardia. My brother experienced that growing up. He's 27 and has been diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve which is a congenital form of heart disease that really doesn't affect him until stenosis sets in further as he ages. I would get it checked out.

Probably palpitations. Not terribly uncommon and quite a few people have it without even knowing it. Depending on the frequency that it occurs will determine whether you should be overly concerned. Def talk to your family doc and he will most likely run a series of tests to check out your heart rhythm. If he catches the dysthymia, which will probably be premature ventricular contractions (or PVCs), it actually looks kind of cool. Furthermore, your heart doesn't actually skip a beat, you just have extra beats.

You can drop beats which people refer to as skipped beats. I have a regular/irregular rhythm. My heart will drop every 8th beat. Its not dangerous. Another food for thought is stress and anxiety. That can often cause the issue described. Caffeine intake or energy drinks can cause it also. You should get it checked out just to make sure. Often you may not feel stressed or anxious but still have the problem because your body is reacting to stress in your life.

Yep. I have Tachycardia. @Sparta, same thing happens to me a lot. I'm about 20 pounds underweight, lol. I haven't had any major heart trouble, but my resting heart rate is never below 80 and usually above 100 BPMSounds like tachycardia. My brother experienced that growing up. I get these a lot also. Happened all the time. I had an electrical study done and they said, I was "skipping beats" but nothing was wrong.
