PARROTS

So does anyone else on here have a parrot?
We've got two conures; a Blue Crowned named Sheldon (my brother's) and a Green Cheek named Elliot (mine).
They're both pretty young. Elliot would've turned two in the past few months, and Sheldon's still a baby, I believe around 7 or 8 months old (I'm bad with dates). He's big for a Blue Crown, and he's just a riot to watch. He's been talking a LOT lately, and when we got him only a couple months ago he didn't say a word.
Anyone else have a feathered friend?

Budgie named Moe (cats are Calvin and Hobbs and Moe would pick on them hehe)

Parrots are awesome, I wish I had the time it takes to be with them. I would feel bad of I got one and let it sit in a cage all day with limited human interaction. Plus, aren't they sensitive to those kind of things?

Ever since my Aunt let me watch The Birds when I was about 6 years old, I am not a bird fan and refuse to have them in my house.

Chickens, very interesting animals, taste good, and if they make it past the ready-for-consumption age, then they provide delicious eggs and you can let them rise some little chicks. Continuous pleasure garantueed and a full stomach!

What kind was it? My brother's first bird—a cockatiel—died like two months after we got him. 😢 He was only 8 months old... We contacted the store and they said it was probably a heart attack, because apparently that's common for birds. Before we knew that, it really freaked us out because we'd just given him a bath (he loved playing in the water, and then when he'd shake his head his feathers would stick straight out and make him look like a pokemon) and we thought maybe that had somehow killed him. We had dried him off as best we could, put him back in his cage, made sure he was happy, and left.I had gotten one last year and it died outta no where a week later it was fully healthy too... About 15 minutes later my brother (11 at the time) went upstairs to get the bird to show our dad's friend, and found him dead. He was still warm. We live literally two minutes from a vet, so we rushed there but they were closed. It was awful. 😢

^^^Delete it! DELETE IT!!! That's so awful, I teared up a bit. I can't look at it again... Where the eff did he put an effing clamp??? I'm so appalled I can't even use emoji because that would make it seem less serious.
That's what happens when stupid people don't do any effing research when getting an exotic pet. Parrots are extremely delicate, anatomically and with their immune system.
