Even people I consider to be smart screw this up! Is there a part of the country where these two words sound alike?

Well I know a lot of people screw up when they type, but is that because they sound the same to anybody? As a kid, this is something we covered in grammar class, and we'd always wondered who would fuck these two up!

Of course where I'm from the words 'mark' and 'moch' sound exactly the same so ...

I listen to a lot of Espn radio and one of the hosts Colin Cowherd says he gets hundreds of emails every day getting called a "looser". When he mentioned this on the radio I laughed so hard my side hurt. Seriously loser=Mel Gibson. Looser= not tight
