I have just did a comment to Tax Me Freely(TM in upper font) on his 'TW News Posts???' thread and got me thinking as I remembered details of Ronin's old TW news posts. Mickey Dunn had 27k mob when I started, Swagger had 650,000 influence roughly, Ed Shooter was on the leader board for influence and Cupcake had 1.0 trillion dollars as the top richest mobster. Mr71vwbus, Tough Guy46 and others were not even playing yet. The Inspector still played as I soon encountered him in the forums, ShadowAngelD (before name change she was Sister Shadow) never existed as well. Zuntamed was Charlie(something) and was inactive at the time. TheSmokeMonster was likely Flo$$in $easons and Bren Guns never existed. Belial, Swagger, and other vets were on the forums much more often and so much more.

So, over the course of this game I have seen a lot. Also, this might seem like a goodbye thread at first glance and even from in-depth reading but this is far from a goodbye thread. I plan on staying around for awhile on this game 😼

So, explain how this game has changed for you. Let the newer generation of players know the past and give experienced players from
vet age time, around my time on TW or more recent but experienced enough to give a decent account; so three month minimum is good. How has this game changed for you?

😄 You pretty much called it all but I remember when mama tek was still around (i think before you got here) and the kid was awesome and active

😳 my A.D.D wont let me remember much else

😄 other then the fact that trolls were taken out before they got to 20k

When i started, vets were just breaching the 20-25k mobs limit, just like godess stated above.
The hilarious locked in the bathroom/closet threads
The sometimes heated discussion between omnious and toughlife(👈could be mistaking the name) about both their own code sites.
Footsoldier that landed in ghent with around 4-5k mobs (hes a good guy)
Rhino that started reaking havoc in europe and destroying anything he came across.
the battle in usa between cms and (sorry i forgot the name of the other alliance) both side fighting i. Forum aswell.
And a lot of other stuff that slips my mind atm.

All of this i witnessed on my old account, so im not making things up here.

I haven't been here half as long as you guys, but...
I started playing about two weeks before Bren guns came out, and discovered the forum about a week after that.
I was a legitamite noob🙍.(even punched my bro when he capped one of my turf.)
I've been through two gas days and Swagmas(Or Swagger's rick roll).

Thats pretty much all I can think of at the second.

In the beginning, the was JrMiScHiEf, he was a lovable kid, he wasn't involved in the forums at all and was still a newb (a newb to where he thought the more weapons the better, so he bough 50K grenades). eventually JrMiScHiEf matured into MiScHiEf, he was cool at first, everyone had liked him because of his updates, but then a man by the name of the inspector had created the Troll face on this game, so this sparked his inner troll, so eventually he posted many troll faces in the forums and trolls for about a week. Eventually everyone turned on him even though he had written the updates for the community, just because he had posted some troll faces, and so, he stopped the updates. He said he was sorry but still, everyone labeled him as a troll. So he change his name to BuShiDo, named after the samurai code, so he could try an prove that he had changed, but still they labeled him as a troll for his past, and labeled him as a trouble maker, and a fiend for having an opinion. So, he died.

There was only one map, the old one, and it didn't have any green circles when planting turf.
A vendetta of 10k players could take out anyone on the top mob leaderboard. So wars were more strategic and less turf spam brute force.

I started last December, at first the game was all on the map. A concentrated fortress of turfs no one could oppose, (only 1 remains, I pulled the rest of the turf flower down). I found the forums after a couple of weeks and read for 2 more before posting. Posting was small innocuous comments here and there. I thought I was being ignored at first, then someone quoted me. I was like wow people acknowledged what I said. I built my knowledge, made a post calling someone out and received a post from Nick basically telling me not to be a douche. I watched how players I respect played and avoided being labelled a troll or DuMee. My posting however in less than 6 months showed me definitely to be a forum whore as I made leaderboards for posts in most forums, and #1 for the vendetta forum. I have seen how unwritten rules arise and fall only to rise again, 3:1 foreclosures being a prime example. I finally reached 10k and promptly stopped punching (will get back to it).

The game has moved on to another phase for me now with the expansion into Palringo and a return to the map and a new addiction of hopping.

As I have played this game I have noticed players don't always see the subtleties and some who do don't know how to manage them. Sure it's TurfWars and capping is a part of the game. But there is more to war than just capping turf. There is strategy, there is diplomacy, there are allies and enemies, those that don't take all of this into account usually don't get the most out of this game.

I was a part of the tail end of the great noob migration. I haven't seen much.
