Origin of the 'Rick Roll'?
Forums › General Discussion › Origin of the 'Rick Roll'?-
I know what being 'Rick Rolled' is. How could I forget Swagger's Rick Roll 😹 Plus, I have heard of it for awhile.
Anyways, as I was saying in the thread title, where did the Rick Roll come from? Why use that particular song? What makes that song so much better than others song for this reason of Rick Rolling? My best guess that so many people didn't like it or just a select fee hated it unusually much so that they used it as a perfect song it piss off people with unwanted songs. Instead of getting what they wanted, as I guess the people that started the Rick Roll intended, the person got a horrible song, as in the original Rick Rollers figured the song was horrible.

His first attempt at retiring, he made a turf trail into canada heading towards Alaska since there were so many dead zones and he used like the last twenty turf to say the lines of 'Never going to give you up' by Rick Ashley. The last turf on that turf trail was 'gotcha 😹' and he enticed people to follow the trail by saying he had a grand secret and it was revealed at the end of the trail. Can I ask how swag rolled everyone? I must have not been around.

Bahahaha too good thanks dude!

It originated from his appearance and voice, no one expected his voice to be like that cos of how he looks, so hence rick rolled you expect one thing then get another

Rick Astley was a very short guy so seeing him you expected a higher voice.
