Like Mason says. It's easier to take care of them now then when they hit 15k mob in a few months and have the same attitude.dagamer01 wrote:
But if we weed them out now then the players left standing after 3-6 month we will know are good peeps. Trolls TYPICALLY emerge for one reason or another in their first 3 months of playing. My take on punishment for this game is to not go overboard to the point that the punishment you deal lout creates trolls like these (have no turfs or upkeep weapons and ay only to attack and level out other players.)

I got you funky buffalo... Took 1 hit to put him in E.R, I see someone is helping already.

You can continue to attack me but I will heal an strike Aaron then drop back into the hospital and you can't stop me.47 sec agoDELETE REPLY
Well that decides it then -
@ Funky and Raikou,
I think with this method of over punishment, we also end up weeding put possible people that have the potential of becoming up-standing players with guidance, reasoning and advice.
With this type of overboard punishment we aren't giving new players (possible long term up-standing players) even a chance to get acclimated to the way the game works socially. We make them into troll and they eventually quit. I get you don't want them to become a problem later, but if they do, we are partly to blame for not giving them a chance. In a way we create the trolls (even if they are short term)

@dagamer01 I only leveled a few turf. And that's all I would have done for a couple of days. If ever, that's all I ever do. I never aim to cap someone out or reset. That's actually what I'm
against. -

Hmmmm I'm just not convinced he's paid enough for capping someone out of a city. What say you forum goers? -

There is a crossroads every player faces in this situation. I was debating giving him another chance when he sent me that last message. That sealed his fate. Either way, you handle your problem your way and I'll handle mine my way👍

This is a war game. A huge part of war is diplomacy and politics. You pick a fight with the wrong person, then you end up at the mercy of that person. It's natural selection. If you can't play nice with the people who can kick your ass, you won't be playing long.

I personally use a three strike rule for social offenses. First strike and you get a gental warning explaining why what you did is not socially accepted. Second offense and you get an acceptable level of punishment with a stern warning at the end to clarify that the punishment is over and that they are now on my watch list. Third offense, i sever all communication and go all out on them as much as I can.
