This idea stems from something I picked up back in my Vietnam Days.

Would it be a fair call to say that the general discussion forum is most of the time filled with, honestly, pointless and stupid threads. And NOT general TW related discussion. The games are fun and help pass the boredom, and news and current affairs are at home in general discussion as well. Along with VIP tributes, goodbyes and thankyous etc and anything else TW related that doesn't fit into the other forums, such as help and vendetta recruitment. But what about a forum that fills the needs of people wanting to post useless and pointless garbage and people who want to roast one another and give each other a hard time (and let everyone else know about it at the same time)? Admit it, there are plenty of these people, me included. This is where off topic comes into play!

Ideally this thread would be stickied but it wouldn't have to be. Basically all rubbish and stupid posts would go in this thread. If someone starts a pointless thread, forum users should reply directing them to tear down the thread and 'take it to off topic." Also if a good thread is started and the discussion in that thread starts to deviate from the initial thread topic, it should be taken to off topic so the intial thread stays relevant. This would clean up the general discussion forum leaving it for more TW related chat.

People can use off topic for ANYTHING (but still within TW TOS). Post rubbish, chat with other players, banter, argue, post emoji art, post links to funny stuff on the net etc really anything goes!

For it to work effectively it would require the support of some of the forum VIPs and VETS who would unofficially moderate the general forum and direct people to off topic if they post crap or deviate from thread subjects etc.

I'm open for suggestions, and would like to here positive and negative feedback. Only trying to help clean things up a bit.

Oh ok 👍 yeah most forums have something along these lines. Skylines Australia has what they call "whoretown" which is their rubbish thread. It generally has 500-2000 users at anyone time and it helps to keep things in order.
