  And CAS is only more responsive if you have a JTAC in the TOC ready to talk to the aircraft, since nobody in the Army is certified to do a Type I control. (Except maybe some 18 series guys, not sure about that one) 

  And indirect isn't slow if you've got good BN & CO mortar sections. Plus we had a hot gun all the time from the arty bat and an FSE that was staffed full time. And our BN owned the battle space, we didn't have to get BDE approval to shoot anything for TIC. All BDE had to do was clear airspace.
