If he keeps it up, I would consider it excessive. Have you messaged him to ask him why, or asked him to let up?

A rational answer thank you. I was gonna say the same. If it continues it might be excessive. Sometimes some people will do that. Cap one a day or every other day to not look like a jerk but just enough that it gets old.

I have a guy doing this also They have a mob of 17,500 not much you can do he doesn't take but 2 or 3 a day it's just extremely annoying!!! Especially when they won't respond to any messages no way to be diplomatic there.

IMO excessive depends on your stats/mob vs theirs- if they have a significantly larger mob and seem to have gone over their turf limit then 8 turf in 7 days is excessive.
