I just read that the water at Long Island/Jersey beaches is warmer than the beaches near Honolulu and they're only getting warmer.

I recently went to the beach and I just walked right in, we didn't have to get used to the water. Our water isn't usually cold at all (upper-70's) but I've never felt water this warm at these beaches. It's so cool.

However Hurricane's won't really weaken in water this warm, kinda scary but cool too.

Isnt there a heat wave over there? The temperature is already hotter than hawaii, so of course the water will be hotter too.

A heat wave doesn't make the water warmer, any body of water is far far too large to be effected by hot weather.
2010 so far is the warmest year ever and that has an effect on the ocean, not heat waves.

nah but it's been hott here for awhile since may we've had about 80+ mostly 90's in june n July
