Alright, so lately I've been getting a lot of flak about protecting people on this game. There was a player that recently took a break. (rage quit) (yesterday) He was pissed at me because I was protecting the lower level players in this game. Those player were my RL friends. Anyways, they were cap'd daily and asked me to help. I would capture any turfs around them to minimize the chance that a higher level player would take this. Why is this so wrong to people? There are about 20 people playing this where I'm from and I'm protecting at least 10-15. People are starting to hate me for things I was simply asked to do. I even help people I don't protect mob up. Can someone shine a little light on this for me?

Well, maybe some of those guys(not saying they did or not) did and or said something bad to piss off some bigger players?

What assholes. Keep doing what you're doing. If the other guys start going against you, I would get another player to help you do the same thing.

Everyone has different playing styles, and perceptions of how the game should be played. If you feel the need to protect yourself I see nothing wrong with it, he could come back and rally other players against you and vice versa. It's what makes the game interesting, the clash of differences that draw people to fight over little circles, so much so that they lose their temper over little circles it's funny.

Having said that (I know people are going to disagree with this next comment) but one player that no matter how much he loses is a great sport is Pasta Kid. Many people have given him a huge beating, he still keeps fighting and as far as I've seen isn't rude or insulting over it either. Although I disagree with pasta kid's gameplay (because I know his income is low based on his turf locations, if he kept peace he would be making more income) I do agree with Pasta Kid's sportsmanship.
