Nuclear is. Fission isn't. But then... The sun isn't renewable either, and it is responsible for solar, wind, hydro-electric, AND bio-fuels. Even fusion requires consumption of natural resources...Nuclear is not renewable though
Oil is a bio-fuel. It just takes a long time to renew it.
Wait.. Renewable energy is just bullshit!

Solar and wind turbines are expensive to get up an running but the extra energy can be sold to the government. Great source of income.

The best idea though for energy is tidal wave generation from underwater currents as it isn't an eyesore and it's out of the way.

Non-renewable. Plus, salt water is corrosive. Hard to maintain. This will pollute the water, and dampen the tides if used extensively. Energy is never free.

I don't mind it.
However refuse to use it.
I have opted to stay with nuclear energy until "green" energy is cheaper.
To me it's a matter of cost. -

To me it's a matter of cost. Also renewable energy has disasterous enviromental impacts.

Salt water will only corrode the iron if air is also present, which it isn't, and it can also be stopped by paint or electrolysis. However, it will may affect the currents which will lead to major climate disastersMagicBob wrote:

Actually it is because of the foolish public opinion. Fukushina caused no deaths or illnesses and they are already cleaning up.₲ɛƞɛяɑƖ ₳łɑƌɛɛƞ wrote:

Not air... Oxygen. Oxygen is abundant in sea water. Just ask the fish.Brown🎵Note😲 wrote:

The President is trying to shut down coal power plants...Which just happens to run over 50% of America's power. Solar panels have to be purchased in large quantities to be cost-effective. Without fossil fuels, this world's power will go down by 80% or more. Renewable energy will not be worth the effort for another 25 years or so. My source is my father who is a Supervisor, instructor, and safety manager at a power plant.

Relying on one energy source is a lose-lose, people need to get smart and learn to piggy-back energy. I think things like what Fisker is doing will pave the future, four energy soUrces running a car- solar panel roof to run in car electrics, electric motor to power the wheels, an internal combustion engine to regenerate electricity for the electric motor and a turbo to recycle the wasted energy from the gasoline engine.

It's all a political topic to focus our attention away from real issues and happenings.

They can work if there's a balance. The Damian harness hydroelectric, the wind turbines can be used with wind but what if there was no wind? That's wear solar panels kick in. No wind or sun? Hydroelectric.

Hey, what happens when all the fish and birds are dead and the additional heat created by all these solar panels and the wind dampening kicks the climate into a frenzy?
No! Not green energy! - You say.
Nothing is free.
Except nuclear. It's natural. On the Simpsons it's even green. It generates no additional heat, it doesn't kill as many fish, it doesn't mess with the dust bowl wind. What's the problem?
Use green carbon fuels for aircraft, and green nuclear ones for car batteries. You have to have multiple sources.
