  Sorry. Unfortunately the biggest forum whores tend to also have the most attention-seeking characters in their names. Go figure.

  I'm not sure if this is a database character set issue or a PHP character set issue.

  But since only 145 out of 15,600-odd players don't fit in...

  No, really... Any geeks out there want to help me out with this issue, I'm happy to run a recount. I have the raw data on hand. I am using stock MySQL and PHP with RHEL6.

  The source code is available in the original forum stats discussion page.

  Maybe it's just a database character set issue that someone in the know could help me fix very easily.

  That's true, I don't see you even on the individual search. The squirrelies don't work at all.

  I've tried creating an explicitly UTF-8 character set DB just now, but PHP immediately barfs at it.

  Doesn't matter I think. This crap seems to fall outside of Unicode anyway.
