Justice is coming!

On Monday I was walking around an outdoor shopping center and was stopped by a guy that was probably in his mid 20's. He explained to me how his car had broken down and he was short on cash for a tow and really would appreciate if I could lend him some money. I immediately thought of when a year back my car broke down and an unfamiliar area and a nice couple let me into their home and fed me and gave me a drink while I waited for the tow truck (it was over 90 and I waited 4 hours) so I knew this was my turn to be a good person and help this guy out. I gave him $60 and he sent me a text from his phone so I knew I had his real phone number. A little while later I call the number he gave me and it goes to voicemail and it is an old woman named Betsy. So I call the police and file a report.

An important lesson was learnt and it cost only 60 bucks. Still you did a good deed and that can't be taken away from you .Cheers

Just a little bit ago I heard a call come over my fathers radio about a person at a mall just up the road from where I encountered this guy who had lent a guy money and when he called the phone number he was given it was not the guys phone. I know this has to be the same guy so I call the security at the mall and tell them my story and give them the phone number the guy had used for me. It was the same exact number. They immediately put me on the phone with officer dealing with this incident and I gave him my whole story and info. This guy has definitely done this before and his luck is running out because this time he did it in a place where there are a lot of cameras and they are in the process of looking at them to catch him.

That's why you always ask to see the car first. I went to a gas station and a guy said he needed 10$ to pay off his gas(he saw me break a 20 in the store) so I ask him where's his car, he says over at the pump. I then asked if he filled it up all the way, he said no. So I told him let me go fill up his gas tank fully and let him on his was, turns out he didn't own a car as the owner came over and asked what we were doing. I told him to get lost and don't ever ask me for money again. Usually I see him at the gas station but we dont make eye contact. The things we do for love...

At first I was furious about the money but I have come to peace with that. My main problem now is that I am mad that I trusted this guy and tried to do a good deed and he screwed me. I have played this through my head a million times thinking of things I should have done but didn't think of at the time. My whole outlook on society has changed because of this experience. I no longer can trust anyone I do not know. I hope they catch this guy so nobody has to deal with him like I did.

A tattoo everyone should get so you never forget. "No good deed goes unpunished". There are just too many bad people in the world these days. Even when ya do something to really help someone, theres always someone else to screw you over.
