At my last job Our system merged with a system in New England and I though I would get laid off. Used to work for Cox Communications.

I don't know, it's a toss up between the times I've had guns pulled on me, my first time getting locked up, or when I blew out my ankle playing ball. You'd think my ankle wouldn't rank with the others, but the pain was so intense that I wasn't sure what happened - I thought I had been shot.

When we swam with dolphins in the Pacific Ocean...
Seriously though, I was boogeyboarding when we saw a fin in the water. We got back to the shore and a life guard said it was just a dolphin. Whew. I thought it was a shark and it was literally 15 ft away from me. I freaked out lol. -
When I had a 2 ton piece of slate fall inches from me.
-
The membrane around my lungs being infected and inflamed. Hurt to breath.

Walking on a wooded path at my cabin in Ontario and managing to come within 10 feet of a mother black bear and her cubs before we each noticed each other. They had swam to our island during the night. In the morning I decided to walk to the beach and wasnt expecting them at all. I've never ran so fast in my life.

I had a brush with death about 800 feet up the NW face of Half Dome (Yosemite, CA) in 1994. I was leading a pitch that at one point follows an (unprotected) ramp up to the left for about 40 feet. I got a #1 camelot in at the end of the traverse and began lie-backing straight up the corner at the end of the ramp. Anyone who has ever lie-backed knows that is a very committing body position- you can climb fast that way, but it is difficult to reach your gear and even more difficult to place it since your eyes are several feet away from the crack where your gear needs to go. (continued...)
-
About halfway up the dihedral i looked down and realized that the camelot I had placed at the end of the ramp (and my only protection) had walked itself out of the crack and i was looking at a 60+ foot swinging fall back onto my last piece of protection which i had placed at the start of the ramp. In climbers lingo, we call such a fall the "big red smile"- certain death. When I realized what had happened, I froze for a moment. paralyzed. Then I got myself together, placed another piece of gear (which was more for piece of mind than protection) and climbed past it another 10 feet to the belay at the top of the dihedral. Serious reality check that day!

I was 12 it was 2 am my grandpas friends wife calls crying and asked to talk to my grandpa he jumped out of bed into his truck I came as well we got there and my pas friend was laying there dead my grandpa tried several things but it was hopeless finally an hour later the ambulance arrives my pa and his friends wife run out there I'm standing there and I swear this dude sits up grabs me by the shirt looks at me with his pale blue face and says something in foreign language then says 2023 may 18th ( my birth day) and falls back on the ground dead... Every day I wonder wtf is goin down on that day.. Believe me or don't either way that shit happend

I've been through some personal scary things. Things that if others knew and compared to what I'm about to say may be surprised that I would consider this scarier, but I think it's the fact that I love my father and wouldn't want to see anything happen to him. When I was 13 my mother's chicken shit boyfriend(they later married too) pulled a glock on him and threatened to shoot him, my dad didn't show any fear or anything and just kept coming at him, then my mom got in between the two. That was probably one of the scariest moments of my life, because I thought my dad was going to get killed in front of me or my mother was going to get shot in the crossfire. She has divorced him, but not before I took his firing pin out of his gun. 😂 So sweet vengeance. He's a huge 🐱 so whenever he gets scared or nervous he pulls a gun on someone. So sooner or later I hope me pulling the firing pin out will have some sweet karma on him.

Been shot at a few times (services) but being in the delivery suite when my daughter was being born was petrifying! The midwife kept setting up the recuss equipment then putting it away...(complicated birth). Though mother and baby were fine in the end 😥💓💓💓😘

When I was 7 a sex offender moved in across the street I believe he was like lvl 2 threat and then one year I saw him litterally running and throwing bags and stuff into the back of his truck and he drove away and he never came back! Kinda sketchy to me
-
When I forgot to pull out.
😳😨😂😂😂 -
Either when I rolled my truck 9 times or when I passed out behind the wheel of my grand national and slammed into a tree doing 70. Thankfully I walked away from both with minor cuts and bruises.

When I was 5 I got lost in Kroger it was so scary😭
