My ring finger was dislocated because I dove for a basketball and stubbed it and after 6 or 7 weeks it's still swollen ( it doesnt hurt at all) I went to the doctor and he said nothing is wrong and to keep doing what I'm doing. Any advice?

Anyway, I've never seen a doctor about a dislocation, just crack it back into place and be done. It'll be just fine, long as you can move it, swollen or not

If it doesn't hurt, wait it out. I dislocated my shoulder on Monday diving, but popped it back in and its almost back to normal now. 😃

Same thing happened to be months ago. Except it was my index finger. It's going to be bigger than usual from now on. You'll get used to it lol.

Can you make a fist?

You might have broken it when you dislocated it. It could stay swollen for months. If it doesn't hurt and it moves ok then there's nothing to worry about

Anyway, it's too late to do anything about it now!
