Hey everyone 😊 As some of you know, my dad was recently diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer. His doctor told him he has about 6 months to a year to live. (Praying for longer since he is a strong and amazing man and hopefully the chemo can give us more time). Today he told me he just really wants to go on a nice vacation with my brother, my brothers kids, and I. He was thinking that we should go on a Disney cruise which normally I would not oppose (especially because ive always wanted to run away and be a Disney princess 😉 ) but cruises are like floating petri dishes and I'm afraid that it wouldn't be such a good choice with the chemo wiping out his immune system.

So my question for all my TW friends is... If you could go on one last vacation where would you go? I would love some ideas so I can make sure it's a fun and beautiful vacation.
Side note. Thank you for all of the kind messages from you all and the amazing support my lovely Masshole friends have given me throughout all this. Love you all!!!

If you don't mind heat, Costa Rica for sure. Greatest trip of my life and I would definitely go again 😊

Beaches resort in Turks and Caicos. Out of the five resorts in the Caribbean, this one is by far the best!!!

Has anyone ever been to an all inclusive?

I haven't but be sure to check what's actually included with those ones. Sometimes the fine print tells the real story of what they view as all inclusive.Has anyone ever been to an all inclusive?
As an aside, sorry about your dad girly. Hope he kicks cancers ass 👊😘 -
Nic, find out from him where he has always wanted to go but never made it to. Any city can be a great trip, with a little planning even Boston seemed like a decent place when I was there (it took a LOT of planning to work that particular miracle). You know if you and the family come up with a destination we will give you as much help as we can on the planning side. We all know Johnny, bugs and I don't have like REAL jobs. We just screw off all day. Love you doll, let us know if we can be of any more help.

I'm sure I speak for everybody on TW when I say hope your dad is good. I don't know where to go because I don't go to a lot of places. Ask your dad and see where he would like to go the most. We're all sorry. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

I've been to Norway, Sweden, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica. I would highly recommend a cultural and historical experience in a European country. It's absolutely unforgettable and amazing.

Looks like his wish is to go somewhere where your brothers kids could have fun. It probably brings him joy to see them having fun. That's probably why he suggested a Disney trip. So, where ever you go make sure it's lots of fun for everyone.

Italy! Or Great Britain lots of places to visit there👍

Agree with Mr. D - I'm sure he will enjoy whatever ya'll ultimately decide, but it sounds like he would love to see his grandchildren enjoying themselves the most! I will 🙏for him! 🍀Looks like his wish is to go somewhere where your brothers kids could have fun. It probably brings him joy to see them having fun. That's probably why he suggested a Disney trip. All the national parks, or at least some of the more prominent ones; Yellowstone, Glacier, Rocky Mountains, Tetons, Yosemite...Honestly some of the most beautiful places on Earth.
Sorry to hear about your dad though. My prayers will be with you 😃 -
The Bahamas. I absolutely loved it.

Sorry to hear about your dad. This last year I have been battling a cancer with a low survival rate. Fortunately it appears at this point that treatment was successful (knock on wood, everyone) but there was a time when I gave serious thought to a family vacation like the one your dad is thinking about. And as a father of 2 and grandfather pf 4, the cruise vacation was the one that appealed to me the most. Before you rule it out, get the doctor's opinion about going on the cruise. For me, there were times during chemo when my immune system was o.k.

I hope everything goes well for him. My very close friend his mom was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer, doc said the same thing 6 months and it's going on 6 years now. She's still I'll and will most likely pass but extra time is all you can pry for.

The Sandals resort in Hawaii! All inclusive, activities galore...even for the little ones! And some of the most beautiful scenery you could imagine. If it were my choice, we would be watching the Hawaiian sunset with a luau in the background....Has anyone ever been to an all inclusive?

Good luck to you and your father:) but I would suggest the Florida keys. It's the best vacation I've ever had.

Thank you everyone!! I have been googling like a mad women seeing all these suggestions. They all sound so amazing!! Petinc I'm so sorry to hear that. It's amazing to hear the treatment was successful! Hope your doing well. 😃I was also thinking Hawaii would be a great place to go. Sorry if it's taking me a long time to respond. If I may, check out the US Virgin Islands. Beautiful there and u don't need a passport. I went scuba diving at 70 feet and could still see the prop on the boat. But the passport thing is the kicker. If he doesn't have long, u don't have to wait for the passport process for all the little ones...

Go to
Italy!! I went before I got TW.If your fathers up to it tour Rome and Venice, Florence, the amalphy coast and Capri/anacapri. Do it through a touring company. Costs $$$ but it was the greatest trip of my life.
Only problem is hospitals in Italy suck...

There is a new Disney Resort in Hawaii that has gotten really good reviews.
I have always wanted to visit New Zealand and England. 😊 -
