My right eardrum twitches when I hear low pitches. I hate it. I didn't connect the twitching with low pitches for a while, but now I know. And it sucks.
Did you know my brother plays the tuba? And my dad plays the bass guitar. 😖 He's practicing with his old man band now, and my eardrum is practically vibrating. 😁

I believe your ear drums always vibrate when they hear sound. That's how they interpret the sound. I feel the vibrations occasionally too, but it's in my deaf ear. I don't hear sound, just feel the vibrations.

Haha atleast you figured out what caused it. Maybe now you can try to control it.

Right, but this is like a spasm or twitch, way bigger/stronger than just the normal vibrations.I believe your ear drums always vibrate when they hear sound. That's how they interpret the sound. Sometimes it'll be from the sound of a plane flying over, and I won't realize why my ear's twitching until I finally notice the plane sound. It's really annoying and distracting. I always hated it when my brother practices...I bet that's why, and my brain just subconsciously connected his playing tuba and my eardrum's twitches...

It's like ear tourettes (sp?) lol. I know a guy with cerebral paulsey and he has Tourette's triggered by lawn mowers. When ever he mows the lawn, he screams random obscenities.
