I am sick of smoking me n my betta half have decided to quit th tabs, we worked out it's ova 2k a year wasted on th death sticks. I am currently on th second week of th tablets champix n they given me strange vivid dreams, how hav you quit th tabs? Wat way did you deal wiv th cravings?

Read Allan Carrs Easyway to Stop Smoking. It makes it exciting to quit and really works. I strongly recommend it.

I did this and I quit for 3 years. Allan Carr changed my life! (not to be confused with the comedian of the same name!)
I did start smoking again after those 3 years but life got on top of me and I found myself on the evil of nicotine again.

It was a different approach to quitting but if you have the will to quit and are dedicated to do it, the book can train your mind to get on board.

I'm on chantix and can vouch to those vivid dreams. I never heard of Allen Carr but will check him out, thanks!

Really weird dreams and they seem so real lol. They nock me sick and make me drowsey aswel but anything is betta than tabs :)

Let me know how you get on and if you use any replacements. Ive been smoking for a year now after quitting for 10 yrs 😔

I failed with champix mostly down to effecting sleep and concentration at work. Trying the patch and gum combo now. Good luck with it

Dam 10yr gap n u start again! Chewing gum n food will be my replacements lol :)

Don't take chantix on an empty stomach. Every time I had there was this overwhelming feeling of nausea. It def helps if you get past those two things, now I just have to find new friends who don't smoke. Every time you get the urge, punch codes, lol 😃

Check out Patrick holfords quitting smoking! It explains why the body craves and how to stop it thus making quitting a walk in the park!

Yea, I was like 'Wha?? No!'.
Here's an idea, throw away the cigarettes and smoke 1-2 cigars a week. That way you can still have a bit of a stress reliever throughout the week, and you won't be pulling your hair out. My great uncle lived until he was 93 and smoked a cigar every day.
