Usually, we can survive for 3 months without social interaction before suffering minor mental effects. By the fact he had nothing to eat or drink would have lowered it. And the taking of drugs too.Not to mention he was desperate enough to lick an unknown powder off the floor of a jail cell to survive. And it being meth probably didn't help his mental state.
I'm just surprised he only lasted 5 days. His mentality must have been really fragile.
Must have been some outside factors as well. Such as stress, relationship problems ect. -
Ryan, fuck you.

I see it was mentioned he is legal for medical marijuana so I wonder what the issue there is.

Did u ever have patients sitting in seclusion with aki + dehydration so bad it forced an icu stay?In this situation, of it only being 5 days, he could of survived without food for roughly 10-20 days and drank his urin to stay hydrated. (not being gross) as for his mental state, 5 days of seclusion is not too rough on the mind. Singing and talking to urself is the best bet. I'm not talking out of my ass. I worked in corrections and a mental hospital. Seen alot 👀

Ryan you aret using science. Do you have any idea how the kidney functions, malfunctions or how much physical stras it takes to break one? Stop using your armchair medicine and pretending you know what youre talking about

Also... Hospitals try very hard to avoid use of an icu unless its absolutely needed. Its super expensive as a opprotunity and actual cost for hospitals, patients, insurances. If he was there his body was in serious condition

he obviously did something wrong to get arrested but the fact he was forgotten about is embarrassing that is scary what if that happened to you Ryan I bet it wouldn't be so funny I think he is entitled to more they fucking forgot him how does that even happen did no one realize the guy in the cell

So because he likely has a medical history making him more predisposed to kidney injury makes it funny to you that he was put into a situation to exacerbate it. Youre right thats funny. Ha.Z👿 wrote:

Sounds like a complete breakdown of accountability on the part of the attracting officers/agents. I hope they are held accountable.
As for $20mil that seems outrageous. Remember it is us the taxpaying public who will foot the bill. I say pay his medical bills and any follow up care needed and some for pain and suffering. But no reason this encounter should turn him into a millionaire. Afterall it doesn't appear he was a complete innocent he was taken into custody with others from a place with a rather large amount of illegal drugs.

I'm quite surprised his mentality snapped in 5 days.Your hunch must be in your back because it's dead wrong. Read on the effects of dehydration.

Not Faking. They found him in his cell, covered in his own shit. Faking? Didn't think so.

See that is a completely rational argument, however; I believe physical damages are only a part of this. He practically went insane in the cell, that has to have some residual effects, or even worse change him forevermore. However the 20million is a max that they would possibly want. More than likely, this will be settled for a few million and while that sounds like a lot, when your police system, the guys you trust to protect your livelihood and family, fail in such a horrendous matter, you are entitled to a decent compensation, this is without medical factored in.✂.
-
He should ask for 100m and for whoever was in charge be given at least 10 years in prison-no parole. Ryan, I bet you couldn't last 5 days of what that guy went through either, hardass.
-
I isn't want to read all the posts in here, but the guy had to drink his own piss. Its crazy I'm glad he is alive.

I'm still confused on how someone got a substance into a release cell?

I'm inclined to agree with this. And yes, I read the story. How the fuck do you forget you have a prisoner in a cell? I've heard many, many bad cop stories, but this one is just pathetic (of the police). I'd be suing for $50Mil+Tonytlj add:TLJ wrote:

Tax don't do shit but line the pockets of crooked politicians. Here. In Australia. Is it any different in America? I say pay the guy ... at least that 20Mil will be used for something decent.
-
Add turfa...... I did.
Unfortunatly human nature is no different here than in Australia we have plenty of corrupt politians as well.
My primary concerns in this instance are that the authorities who were responsible to account for him while he was in custody must be held accountable for their lapse.
Secondly his medical needs and that includes any ongoing mental health conerns should be paid for.
Third he should not be portrayed as some sort of hero because his initial arrest appears to be legitimate. He should be compensated but 20mil is far too much.
