I've already said this but I'll say it again, he was scattering shit across my yard and it is my property I can stand wherever I damn well please.nicky the blade wrote:
But was he bothering you, your family or your property before you stuck your nose out of your house? O ok. Didn't think so. End of story. At the end of the day you're still a snitchAnd I'm not even going to quote the people who have said "you called the cops on a guy picking flowers?" no I called the cops on a mentally unstable guy/ possible crackhead who was trespassing and destroying private property. He cussed me out on my own property. You all talk a lot of shit over the Internet but if it came down to It I'm sure you would've done the same thing.

Maybe you should take some self defense classes. Buy a firearm take some courses (not first line of defense). The cops take forever to respond, all I'm picturing is you looking at a loon bat picking flowers him yelling at you, and you running away to safety? Is that correct? You had to run away on your own property? Or am I missing something?🔰ਸᏧᏧ ℜⱥ༏Ҡℴ ц🔰 wrote:
a little bitch, so be it.Nicky, I wanna apologize to you, yes publicly. Just because I disagree with you was no reason to attack you personally. Say I don't like you and call you a snitch. That's not really what I'm about. Given the initial info, I stand by my opinion. Upon further investigation, finding out that a man was shot the night the crazy guy showed up, however, skews my initial opinion.
With that said, I might have called them too.

That and the sex scandals. Unfortunately...This is the kind of things that give us Christians a bad name.

I don't need self defense classes, I own a gun, I usually carry a switchblade or other knife on me when I have to walk anywhere. What would pulling a weapon accomplish? I would only ever do that of I absolutely had to. And I didn't run. I didn't even leave the house or unlock the door. I just walked away. Eventually he left then the next day after the shooting he returned and started yelling at me again, and I wasn't taking any chances so I called the copsnicky the blade wrote:

Ok. So in your opinion Nicky, was there any alternative solutions other than calling the police?

Well a lot of the TW community thinks I should have charged out of my house and kicked his ass, so there's that, but then I get to tell the story of how I kicked the ass of a mentally unstable guy, or if he did turn out to be a crackhead how I got stabbed by one. I could have ignored him, but how long until he invaded my moms flower garden that she spent lots of money to get landscaped last summer. I had already asked him not to and that didn't work. I can't think of any other solutions can you?Ok. So in your opinion Nicky, was there any alternative solutions other than calling the police?

IMO you should've just left him alone. But that is only my opinion. If there is no immediate danger to me or my loved ones then I would've just left him.

I would have called the cops too. There are a lot of wackos out there. No telling what the guy would do if provoked. He was obviously unstable and possibly dangerous. Better the cops take him before he or someone else gets hurt. No harm was done with calling the cops.
-
You did the right thing. People need to take care of their neighborhoods.
-
Thank you both^^ I'm glad someone agrees with me. Our neighborhood is already on a decline and those flowers were about the only nice thing left on that property. And being right next door it won't help when we try to sell the house.

Not to get to off topic, but "poking flowers" LMFAO!!😂😂😂 OMG THERE'S A CRAZY DUDE POKING MY FLOWERS!! CALL👮👮!badmrfrosty wrote:

Just glad skittles were not involved.Damn Sammy, you want to shoot a crazy guy over flowers? Let the police handle it. That's their job, and nobody gets hurt.
But I think getting the cops involved was unnecessary. He was just poking flowers. I understand he was on private property but not only did this waste the time of police who could be doing something else rather than arresting a man for picking flowers. What's next? You call the cops because someone stepped on your neighbors lawn? People like you should mind your own buisness. A bit ridiculous if you ask me

I dont mean pulling a weapon. I've just haven't seen people so fearful in their own home. It's ridiculous to me. "destruction of property" makes it sound so much more intense then "picking flowers" you can use semantics however you wish, but the reality of the situation..he seems harmless, you seem paranoid, fearful and it seems like you over reacted. Unless the guy was COMPLETELY bat shit crazy, and there didn't seem to be any possible way to deescalate the situation then it seems like you over reacted. The reason I ask about self defense classes is if you're that fearful maybe you need a boost in self confidence.Sammy Guns🔫🌊🗻 wrote:

In all seriousness though, all jokes aside Nicky, you were there..I wasn't. So in reality....you could assess the situation better than anyone here. If that is TRULY what your gut was telling you to do then follow it. I just don't know if I would have reacted the same way, then again, I wasn't there and I didn't see the entire situation.

Tbh, it's better safe than sorry. Growing up in bad neighborhoods shines a little perspective on these situations. You never know what peoples' intentions are, and if you assume everyone is harmless, then it won't take much to make you a victim. It's always best to err on the side of caution.

I mean in my mind that was the most reasonable solution. Save myself possible bodily harm and have the cops deal with him. Which I'm glad I did because he became violent when detained. And from the post above this, saying "deatruction of property" may have been an overstatement but after the flower beds are all torn up where does he go? Breaking into the garage or house. Possibly living there. Who knows? And I did not start this thread to argue ethics with anyone I just thought people would get a good laugh at him saying Jesus told him to the oil the flowers. But after being called a snitch I felt the need to justify my actions which I think I did.In all seriousness though, all jokes aside Nicky, you were there..I wasn't. You don't have to justify your actions for anyone in reality. It could have been avoided all together (in my opinion) but to be honest, with someone like the Jesus dude, sooner or later he would have ended up detained anyhow. If it wasn't you it would have been something else more than likely. A relative of mine is schizophrenic, well meth induced but crazy nonetheless. In reality he is harmless, but he would freak anyone out usually. The guy can fight good and be really brutal, but beneath all the craziness oddly enough...he still has a pretty big heart like he always has...he wouldn't hurt someone except out of defense, or they did something that REALLY pissed him off. Yes he trespasses constantly because he walks all over the damn place, I pray nothing happens to him, but I pray also he gets locked up sometimes, he does better in jail. They force him to take his meds, and he seems normal (kinda)
