Hey im getting a new PC soon, and need to know whar specs I need, going custom built.

Requirements:

Be able to play battlefield 3 on at least 35FPS

22" 2D flatscreen monitor

Any cooling it may need

Thats about it. Also should I use i3,i5,i7 or another brand for processor?

i7 and 8gb ram or more and (of course) a good graphics card which youll have to research on your own

For his budget he'd be better to go with the i5

I5 2500k, and a gtx 570/560 should sort you out

8gb ram is more than enough but you need 1600 MHz
