I thought Zachary Quinto played Spock very well in the last one and I can't wait til the new one comes out in 2013

I really don't know about the movie as they now need to rewrite the whole history of star trek as they destroyed Vulcan. So the next gen,ds9 and voyager need to be rewritten. What are your views

It's an alternate time line. This way we don't really know what happens on the 5-year mission. More movies.
The old mythology is still intact.

I never really liked any of the TV treks. I like the 1-6 movies with the original cast, and the new one.

What's wrong with the first movie? Sure it requires an attention span to enjoy, but not as much as 2001 does.
To me, the only bad one was 5.

I am more next gen person I have read all the books I have tried to get into TOS but just can't for some reason

I know it's cheesy but the story is amazing once you get past it's flaws.
