Why does Dejavu happen?
Forums › General Discussion › Why does Dejavu happen?-
What is your theories on why it happens? I had a theory that while you are in your mothers womb somehow some supernatural force shows you everything that is going to happen in your life, like a movie. And then when you are born, you repress the memory of the movie, but at certain times in your life, moments become unrepressed, and it will feel like you have seen or lived that moment before, thus creating Dejavu. So what are your theories?

I think it happens when your brain stores the live sensory feed in the wrong memory slot.

Idk but would be nice to know

Fact, you're brain stops for a mili second.

I believe dejavu is the remembering of dreams. I think people dream many, many, many, scenarios of things that could happen and the brain doesn't rember those dreams when we wake up, just when a similar thing happens in reality.

I've got a feeling that I've read this thread before.

I think that it is simply an event occurring twice in your life, sometimes slightly altered or not, the occurrence of the event at present causes your mind to remember the previous event, thus a dejavu

Imprints of your alternate self's conscious energy on time/space in another multiverse, which slips into ours for a time when they both make contact before they reflect off each other.

It happens so frequently that its normally nonsense that isn't déjà vu. But sometimes there is a commonality of the imprints which is more easily noticed as something not random like the others. Clear as mud, now.

It's a neat moment of muse. But honestly I don't know where any of that stuff I just said came from. I just kept writing. I'm kinda not aware why I was compelled to just keep tieing that train of thought together... But it's interesting after rereading that... Very strange that happened like that. It's hard to explain how I feel about it...

I kinda randomly shut out my other thoughts and surroundings just then without my will being responsible for it I feel like... I don't often just see a picture of what something unknown is like that... It's like I was teaching a kid why the sun comes up in the morning. Like the déjà vu explaination was just common knowledge. Sorry I'm trying to write what just happened. I'm sketched out a bit.

This could be a phenomenon I like to call, a matrix moment or a glitch in the matrix. A repetition of a event that has happened in your life causes similar memories to appear and the memory goes from one part of the brain to another u related part causing the memory to be remembered and that causes a halt in the person since the are baffled at the similarity to the recent last action/event vs. the memory that just came to your conscious part of the brain. Sometimes the background details can be solved and you know they were to separate events or it confuses you without an idea on if it is real or not the memory. The memory could be a forgotten dream which was forgotten. We all have this dreams we now we just had and the details we know we know but can't find the answer just behind the cloud blocking the remembrance.

I get visions and premonitions. You can imagine what my day is like haha.
-
It's because we feel or see or know something that is very similar to something that happened long ago which we remember only very vaguely
-
All visual and adubile input is taken by 2 inputs then muxed together by the brain. On rare ocassion that muxing gets misaligned for a split second. The input from 1 side of the head is proccessed slightly before the other side giving a since that the event has occurred before.
Or it could just be Mr Anderson making an appearance😜

The machines altered something in the matrix
-
Dejavu happens when something you sub cocussiely expect something to happen then it happens.

I know why it happens, your brain stops for a milisecond and yoU get the same sequence twice making you think you have seen it in the past
