A circular definition.
And when I say inside or outside "the system", I mean the state's laws.

Well I wouldn't sugar coat what they did... Credit card companies lost millions in hours due to their actions... But at the same time I wouldn't consider what happened as what people now associate as terrorism. I don't feel anon is nearly organized enough to ever develop into anything truly life threatening for people.Brown🎵Note😲 wrote:

Go watch the anti-Scientology videos from anonymous. It's threats and intimidation in an overtly fear-inducing manner. "We know where you sleep" kinda stuff.
The intent of anonymous is politics through intimidation, fear, and costly damage.
Pirate thugs of vandalism, outside the system, should be quashed like the bugs of humanity they are.
I call them terrorists, granted, wanna-be terrorists.
You know why pirates flew the jolly roger? Terror.
Thugs and punks? Terror.
Wearing masks, making scary voices and stealing private information for the purpose of extortion? Terror.

To be anonymous is not to be a terrorist. I am anonymous in here, as are all of you. Last time I checked I was neither a terrorist or freedom fighter.
-
The thing is by the current definition anon and lulzsec and all these mislead Guy Fawkes mask wearing protestors could be called "terrorist". But that's if you simply choose to do so and decide not use your own judgement by relying on whatever is in a book.
By continuing to label any negative actions committed by people in such extreme ways, it will continue to lead to a much bigger loss and cost of people's civil liberties.
You can call anyone who commits the definition as terrorists. But is it really necessary or benificial to society to use the label on things like this considering the risk that could come of being so trigger happy with sensationalizing it like this?
-
There are many levels of murder.
Would you call a drunk driving fatality murder? Some do. Oh, sorry... "man slaughter", as if slaughtering a human somehow makes it less objectionable. 😄
Just because there is a range of severities doesn't change the definition's parameters.
The meaning of terrorist has not changed, in spite of what Fox news told you.
A terrorist has a political agenda, and uses intimidation to achieve it. That's a terrorist. Simple.
-
Killing people is just a side effect, really. Dead people cannot be terrorized.

NO!!! None of the terrorist organizations you mention have the goal of killing people or destroying society.
Their goal is to reclaim territory, or stop western interference in the region, or to further their religion. Politics.
They use fear as a weapon to achieve these goals. They go outside the law, and claim a higher power as their justification, just like anonymous.
It's not evil. It's asymmetrical guerilla tactics. Anonymous is an international terrorist group.
You don't like the sound of it, but it's true, and I'll say the FBI agrees.

Agreed⬆ but also if companies lose money doesn't that mean more for us? And on the topic of money everyone burn your money!!! The US dollar is worth little now because there are so many of them in circulation so when you burn a dollar it makes the US a dollar richer! This is totally illegal and if your caught doing it you'll get fined for defacing money but it's for the better right? Think about this.Killing people is just a side effect, really. Anyways what anon does is classified as cyber-terrorism not to be in the same category as regular terrorism.

Yes, ever since 9/11. We've been scared of them ever since, which is really what they want. Remove the terror and the terrorist loses a lot of its power.I think in the last couple decades the definition of terrorists has drastically shifted in the American psyche. I think labeling people "terrorist" based on the standard definition due to relatively small attacks on economic and social networks online is a few steps below blowing up the USS Cole, or carrying out horrific attacks on the civilian population.
Calling anon "non-peaceful yet non-violent protestors and saboteurs" is far appropriate in my opinion. Just my thoughts, but anyone else think the whole concept of terrorism has a completely different meaning now after all the civilian targeted attacks on many of the Western world?

You seriously need to take an economics course. The corporations ARE us, and a dollar is not a piece of paper, it's a unit of measurement for production. Fiat currency... Central banking... Any of this ah-ringin' a bell?Brown🎵Note😲 wrote:

Damn.. It's impossible convey what is at stake by continuing to use these trigger words for such a wide range of issues. I hate that I have to continue losing my rights and freedoms on account of others handing theirs over gladly on account of petty things like anon... Nothing to look forward to except sitting in a jail cell without trial, due to allegations alone, because people love following definitions to a T and being right in their minds. Why isn't it obvious by now what happens when you give the governments throughout history an inch?!? They take a lot more than a mile until the cycle repeats and ego beats out learning.

I don't think that has anything to do with terrorism. In fact, the more we sling that word around, the less power the government can take in the name of safety and security.Damn.. And when you don't have the gold to back up a dollar it loses value causing you to print more which makes the cycle repeat untill it has only sentimental value. Also the dollar IS just a piece of paper which was designed to represent the amount of gold we had. It is also a measurement. 1 paper dollar was supposed to be equal to 1 dollar(measurement) of gold. Once we got off the gold standard we screwed ourselves over because for every dollar we print it loses value. The reason platinum is so valuable is because there is so little of it, if there was a lot it wouldn't be worth that much.

simple economics bro

An easy solution would be for the govt to make a new currency like the EU did with the euro and make a common currency for America and all of north, middle, and south America.
-
Terrorists of the Internet and digital world imo. They do not physically threaten, but they digitally shutdown major internet companies and cause mass inconvenience.

Dude, that's just embarrassing. Go back and do some more YouTube research.
The dollar has nothing to do with metal any more. It is tied to production now, and is guided by the federal reserve via lending rates.
When you buy a house with a mortgage, the local bank pays the seller or the builder with funds borrowed from the federal reserve, our central bank. The production value of our currency is created at this point.
When you go to work and produce something, the cash you get pays back the bank for these newly created funds. In this way, actual production dictates the amount of currency in circulation.
It works this way for all capital investment that comes from bank loans.
They can't just print more. Doing so devalues the currency.
The federal reserve attempts to match the currency in circulation to GDP.
-
What kind of knob head would want to mix our relatively strong production with the weak production of Canada and South America??
Do you want staggering inflation for the entire western hemisphere?
What a caps-locking, blue-fonting dolt.
