Being a pretty smart kid, I've gotten good grades, done work for businesses (designing a website, etc) applied to IMSA, but recently I've been having some trouble. One of my teachers said I should study more, seeing as I would get low A's on tests, whatever. I did this and all the sudden I start getting D's and C's on tests, doing worse than when I didn't study. It isn't that I don't get the material, I ace the homework and answer correctly in class. How can I fix this?

I never study for tests but I always get 95+. I guess some people are just able to retain information better. I think you should do what works for you, not anyone else

Oh no. I didn't mean to be like that. I do my homework and stuff, and I pay attention in class. I don't just sit around

I am that same exact way. I never study and in some classes, I haven't dropped below a 97 percent at all through the year. Math, though, being two grades ahead, I have to study for.

Maybe the problem is your trying too hard. I never study and usaully tend to do well

At the moment I am two grades ahead in Math, Physics and chemistry. I skipped eighth grade, and am doing the advanced program now in HS (10th grade). I'm enrolling in the international bacheloreat program next year. I've already completed 1 math course and one science course so far this year. I never used to have to work for my marks. Now I do. (all of this is in the regular school system). My average has not dipped below a 90 all year, but I spend every night in my room doing homework. It's going to be good in the long run I guess. Your situation reminds me of this one time I had to to a speech. Bein a prep, I learned it off by heart. When ever I practiced with my "memory cards" in hand I messed it up, when I didnt, it was perfect. No clue why.

Not that I can say anything cuz all my grades are c's but teachers don't know shit
