I dont know how many of you play rockband on idevice but i dtarted playing it today and it says "you will no longer, after may31st, be able to play rockband on your idevice. I mean come on seriously?

OK, this is the most ballsy bullshit I've ever heard of.

Not only is there no real reason for disabling the software, many other mobile EA titles deactivate on May 31 as well.

While there is no explanation for Rockband, several other games show up in help.ea.com as terminating on May 31 to free up servers and resources for upcoming titles.

"After that time, we'd like to invite you to try some of our other titles- bullshit game 1, bullshit game 2, and of course, bullshit game 3."

Now... If rockband was a free game, I could understand this.

But this is a game that they originally charged $9.99 for, and then a couple bucks per downloadable song.... And it's perfectly playable in airplane mode, so what's the deal?

If they just want to shutdown support, I.E. new builds to keep up with IOS and hardware updates.... Fine. But to disable a game so they can stop serving 1MB songs for $1.99 a pop and worry about iOS 6 breaking it...

If I was them, I'd let apple break it first. Now I hate EA.

EA seems like they are circling the drain, and it must be from mismanagement because they have some decent games.

However, with them instituting "online pass" for used games, it seems like they are desperate to make a profit, when it should be easy.

I just downloaded medal of honour airborne then i find out ea fosent support my graphics card i mean it would habe been nice to know that before i wasted another 10$ of my money

It was a mistake.

EA says it sent the messages out in error, and Rockband will continue to work on our idevices indefinitely.
