What's the furthest distance you've travelled specifically to get a Turf-hold somewhere? ( Just for Turf, not getting Turf whilst travelling for a genuine reason)

I took I different rout to work at 6 am one morning for a nice piece of turf.....lost it 4 hours later though:)

About 20 minutes away when I first got this game to the nearest player.

I've never traveled anywhere just to claim turfs. I claim turfs when I'm out somewhere.

On my way south one day, I took a freeway that went west & went about 10 miles to place a turf, then drove that 10 miles back & continued on my merry way down south to my hometown :)
I've gotten 35 new turfs from this slight inconvenience...but I also got a speeding ticket right after I placed it :( first one since I was 17 -
only at school

I do a lot of extreme hiking/xterra race type stuff.
One day I drove two hours to one of my favorite spots, then hiked in eight strenous miles only to get the message that turf can only be placed near roads and streets.

hahaha that suuucks. Wouldve been a cool property, but wouldve only made you $9.5k anyway. (assuming you were the only one there)
