I see friends in need and I have grown to love this crazy fam as much as Sara has.
So whatcha do to get that " I'm the SHIT" feeling?
Work at a food bank? Donate blood? Fave charity? Help a neighbor? Donate magazines to nursing homes?
Open doors for others? Help with groceries? With housework? Cooking?
If you have a talent, share it! Teach it.
Spend a whole day smiling at everybody. The begining to be rich!

One of the things I make sure to do is thanking people when they do something for me, no matter how little. After a while, you start to get "thank you"s back, which always makes you feel good. It's especially nice when someone comments on how nice you are.

But I get enjoyment from every type stuff. Holding the door for people is a big one for me. Just saying please and thank you, and have a nice day to the person that works at your local gas station. Picking something up for someone that they dropped at the grocery store standing in line. Those kinds of things seem to be more and more absent nowadays.

I think it's a great thread sherry. It's thought provoking. And it might make people think about getting off their asses an volunteering or something.

I like to open doors! And at stores i put the cart in the proper place and I will even gather up the surrounding ones people leave out. My mother said I get it from my grandpa cuz he would do that. I donate blood every so often too.

I volunteer at a Shriners hospital here. Sometimes I dress up like a clown. I make balloon animals and juggle for the kids.

I did the something today as I do everyday. Look after my sick wife and landlady. Then I thank my lucky stars I have both of them in my life.

I work at a preschool for kids living at or below poverty level, so when my kids are struggling to accomplish something, like write their name or finish a puzzle, I try to go overboard encouraging them - you are such a smart, strong little boy/girl, I know you can do this, just keep trying, I know you can, etc. I just hope I can instill some self-confidence to help them not be condemned to the same bad choices as their parents.

I volunteer for the salvation army, and participate in neighborhood cleanups an food drives that my parents' church does every year. I also tarred the church roof for free.

Those of you who donate blood keep in mind, a cancer patient can go thru a bag of platelets a day. So thank you.

The everyday stuff is soooooo important! And I have apreciated every answer. Thank you, Grimm for the encouragement!
