It comes out in December. Anyone else gonna see it? I loved the LotR movies and I hope they make The Hobbit good and don't screw it up. The previews look good though.

Most definitely. LOTR is one of my top trilogies and I look forward to this. I'm mailing my son read the books. This seems to be a great year for movies.

How? My son read the the LOTR trilogy and saw the films as did I and it didn't ruin anything for us. I think it's bad that people rely on movies than actually reading the novels. I make it a point that my son reads, actually all my kids read.Ruined the books for all new readers.

I love books. The smell, texture etc. I dream of having a library one day connected to my home theatre.

Hey do you guys think I should read the LOTR series I was thinking about reading them and should I read the hobbit before because it is a prequel or should I start with the first book
-
I'm working on The Hobbit. It does look beautiful, but I don't agree with the fact it's being shot in 3D when the original trilogy wasn't.

Read the prequel first, personally I think it's the best one; more adventure and easier to follow. It has some things that lead up into the others, it fills in some puzzle pieces.Hey do you guys think I should read the LOTR series I was thinking about reading them and should I read the hobbit before because it is a prequel or should I start with the first book

I saw something about that a few months back. After that I didn't hear anything about it, so I figured they dropped it.
I hope they remember Bombadil. -
